George's Famous Pizza — Restaurant in Philadelphia

I've lived in this area for 10yrs and just tried George's back in December - their food was BY FAR the best I have had since moving to the Frankford/Northwood area. Honestly, it's some of the best I've had since moving to Philly, period. Even my super picky kids were loving their Bacon Cheeseburger Pizza, and they are so hard to please. I didn't see George's cuz they're not on GrubHub, but now that I've found them, there's no going back to anyone else for our cheesesteaks and pizzas. Plus there's something really nice and normal and comforting to actually just call somewhere and have your order taken by the man who owns the restaurant, cuz you know he's gonna be invested in making sure your food is good and your happy with your order. I have so much respect for establishments like this where families put their time, blood, sweat, and tears into their business and we should be supporting more locally owned...

I only ordered vhhese steaks and pizza and i must say i was very pleased. Pizza was perfect. Crust just thick enough. Just enough sauce and cheese. Not overwhelming. The taste was very good. I got pepperoni. I ordered 3 cheese steaks. 2 beef and 1 chicken. My wife is very picky about chicken cheese steaks. Some restaurants have very dry chicken cheese steaks. She was very happy with her steak. The kids and i had the beef. Very good. The steak was well seasoned. The rolls fresh. Safe to say im going back. This will be my go to pizza place.
