Great Awakenings Cafe — Restaurant in Philadelphia

I happened to be in the area with my two year old and 7 month old. In the mood to sit down and relax while I get a quick meal we decided to go into this café. I was able to get a sausage, egg, and cheese on a croissant 🥐, a berry smoothie, and a cheese Danish. Mmmmm. My toddler and I truly enjoyed every bite. I loved the back room that was a bit private and filled with beautiful artwork that I was surprised were for sale. The women working here were so friendly and had patience with my little guy whom ran from door to door looking at the buses, trucks, and cars go by. I was in NE Philly for a doctors appointment. Afterwards I started searching for a coffee shop. I stumbled on to Great Awakenings just by chance. What a gem! It is a lovely little coffee/ice cream shop. Really cool interior with plenty of comfortable places to hang out. (It would be a great place to work on a computer…they even have a printer available for customers.) There are pastries, breakfast sandwiches (I had avocado toast with bacon…yum!) and a limited lunch menu. And I really liked the vibe of this place. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. This was my first visit, but it definitely won't be my last! Great customer service where they cater to you and make you feel welcome. I felt just like family!😁 The menu has a pretty nice variety (even ice cream!😃). I ordered a smoothie which was absolutely delicious, and my beau ordered a breakfast sandwich on an Everything bagel which he said was great.
