It’s 4th of July weekend - all of my preferred quick food options at PHL are packed and have long lines. I am traveling by myself with my 1 year old.
I don’t want to eat at this place but it’s deserted and I assume I can get food quickly as a result. I reluctantly go to the register.
A lady is sitting behind the counter and it takes her a few seconds to realize she has an actual customer - must be a slow day. There is no full menu displayed anywhere - you are at the mercy of the slow changing screens shuffling through some of their hot food options. I just get the breaded chicken sandwich because that’s what the screen was showing when I was looking.
I shuffle myself and daughter over to the food prep area where a nice lady starts making my sandwich. She pulls a frozen chicken breast out from somewhere and sticks it into the “warmer”, she grows impatient with the time remaining and removes it with time left, I pray that it was already cooked and now just under heated.
To my surprise she takes the bun of my sandwich (WITH the cole slaw already on) and sticks that in the warmer separately. This lady must have never had cole slaw or just isn’t thinking. Of course she does this after the chicken instead of concurrently as she could since there’s 2 ovens. Ten minutes have passed and I finally get my food - I’m still the only customer.
I take a bite out of the sandwich - it’s exactly as bad as I thought. Dry and hard on the edges, flavorless and hard on the inside. Warm coleslaw isn’t helping. I still eat the whole thing because I hate myself. I am most definitely...
Read moreI purchased the veggie hummus on multi-grain bread in the Philadelphia airport it was pretty good except for one critical flaw The hummus was very meager portion but more importantly it was placed against the whole wheat bread this is a cardinal sin in the construction of sandwiches and wraps you never want the bread to be contaminated by a condiment where in this case the hummus it causes the bread to get mushy and the experience of the sandwich is diminished dramatically once again not much hummus in the wrong place on the...
Read moreRight inside Philly international airport .. once you checkin this is the 2nd shop .. looks big and lots of chairs outside to sit and eat . They made egg cheese on bagels and kept it to heat up. It was about 8$ for egg n cheese . Airport pricing !! Service was good . The lady helped with pricing and answered our questions .
Bagel wasn’t the best .. since it was wrapped already , it was a bit soggy and not crispy. I like bagels crispy and well toasted . Airport taste … it was ok for a quick breakfast .. average...
