Okay, nothing special... one of the local places... Burger was good. Needs a good cleaning after looking around... Update response: What makes you think I was there after you were open for 12 hours? I never stated I was there after 12 hours of you being open. I have eaten your burgers about 10 times now; I usually had someone pick them up for me... This time, you had only myself and my guess in the bar and it was freshly open... NO full house and one bar tender who just had a walk-in behind us; about 5 minutes after we sat down. This time the fries also came out as dark as night (not that dark, but they were beyond reasonable... But, if your cook could NOT tell they were over cooked, then why waste my time with telling him the fries are over cooked... The waitress / bar-tender could also NOT tell they were hard fries! So, why waste the time for a new order to come... Time was not something we have when we break for lunch... Besides, you have to eat the burger, then the fries come out afterwards... who...
Read moreMy girlfriend was craving a cheeseburger and I remembered how people have told me to check this place out for their burgers. This place wasn't it for us.
We got there at 6:45. Sat there for 15 minutes before I decided to just try to order at the bar. After I ordered our food and drinks, the bartender was rude to me and my girlfriend when he brought us our drinks.
We ordered burger, chicken sandwich and fries. We didn't get our food until after 8 o'clock. Again, we got there at 6:45. The place wasn't even crowded. I counted! There was 21 people in the place and only about 8-10 people (including us) were in the dining area. When the food finally did come out, the bartender made another snarky comment towards us. Our food order wasn't correct so we just got a box and got it our of there.
I enjoy dive bars across the city but honestly,...
Read moreThe beefy tattooed bartender could use a 'human interaction levity course.' He should takes lessons from a gay man. Not much personality. Beer is good, burgers great, but this place needs wine specials--all hipsters do not drink beer. Beer is fattening besides. Cute place all things considered but I hope they incorporate a Happy Hour and include wine in Happy Hour prices. Other posters have indicated that this place is not in Kensington, and they are correct. It is actually between Fishtown and Port Richmond. Lehigh Avenue has been the dividing line between Fishtown and Port Richmond for almost 10 years now. Get with it!!!!!
We are very glad that hard core hipsters have stayed away. Hipsters are not welcome on Lehigh Avenue. The bar attracts quasi-Richmond hipsters with a small 'h.'...
