HomeGrown215 — Restaurant in Philadelphia

I stopped in HomeGrown215 this morning after my doctor appointment at Methodist Hospital. I live on the other side of Broad so I don't usually venture over that way, especially in the morning. I'm so glad I stopped in - I was shocked at how cool this place is. It's small, but cozy and has a bunch of great Phillies/Eagles art and memorabilia on the walls. The staff was friendly, welcoming and kind. Service was fast, food was delicious. I got a bacon egg and cooper sharp on an everything bagel and an iced coffee. the sandwich was big and delicious and the coffee tasted fresh. Then as I was eating I noticed on the menu that they had an everything STEAKROLL and I was like OH SHIT! lol so i got my boyfriend a sandwich to-go to take home. I have never seen an everything steak roll before. The staff offered to keep my to go order warm/the coffee in the fridge until I left. So glad I stopped in here. I let the staff know how awesome the place was and left some money in their tip jar. HomeGrown215 managers, your staff is lovely - they deserve praise and rewards! Will definitely return/order delivery...

UPDATE: Been coming back after a generous gift card. They've got a new system down where they're making the drinks as soon as I come in to pick up sandwiches, it's like they're off to the races a soon as they see us coming down the street. Thanks for the effort! Legit, best breakfast sandwiches.

OLD POST: I've been loving Homegrown ALL summer long. But to be honest, the coffee side has just fallen apart. Whether we order in store or call ahead, the coffee is always a 10+ minute longer wait. The girls forget to make it, or are just standing around while you stare at them, or they just talk and you're not sure if they're going to make it at all. Today was the moment where I realized I can't do this to myself anymore. Got our sandwiches & tots, they forgot to make our coffee. The food was ice cold by the time we got our coffee. And this time, even the coffee was not good. For $27, I'll just start trying new places, because it's been happening literally ever since the summer ended. This was my favorite spot, but it's ruining my breakfast...

This was my second time visiting this restaurant. I had just got an large iced latte with french vanilla as my favor. The girl told me it's 8 pumps of french vanilla for a large so I said cool and can I get cold foam like a sweet cream flavor she said we can do that. So when I got my drink from what I noticed the inside the lid had the coffee mixed with the cold foam. Now I believe the person that was making it has just made it without the cold foam and realized she forgot to add the cold foam at the top so instead of giving me a new clean lid she use the same lid that has all the coffee inside the lid which it bother me. I can understand it busy and people where ordering a lot of ice coffee drinks but for me presentation is KEY 🗝️. I'm not a person that in a rush. I like my coffee drinks to be made right and I really didn't taste the french vanilla that much so going forward please make everything as perfect as I...
