Sat outside on a beautiful September night. We would’ve sat inside but they were full. I did make a reservation two weeks earlier but outside was the only availability. When I went inside to tell them that we have arrived no one approached me. I had to approach one of the waitresses. They told me to choose any seat I want outside. When we chose our seat and sat down, our server immediately approached us and we were off. It is a BYOB. So we chose our appetizers which our server recommended. We chose the grilled calamari as well as the smoked mozzarella. Both were outstanding. Then for our entrées, I choose Asobucco (it was a special.) the veal was cooked to perfection. It fell off the bone. The pasta was homemade and excellent. Would definitely recommend. The other entrée pictured was shrimp and lobster with linguine. It was also excellent. For dessert we chose chocolate mousse cake. It was very good. As far as the service it was very good. My only complaint is that we asked for bread several times before it was brought to our table. Like I said, in the beginning, we sat outside so I did not get a chance to review the inside. It is very small so make sure you make your reservations early. Parking is not easy as well. It is free street parking but not many spots available. Uber if you can. For four people, our bill came to $240.

It’s usually not fair to rate a place based on one experience. Our dinner was on a particularly busy night, so i believe that’s why our service suffered. We sat a while before someone took our order. Our table didn’t get bread, had to ask twice. We didn’t parmesan cheese with pasta, while it came to other tables with their pasta. Our meal got to us after the table that ordered after us. All those are insignificant, but detract from experience. While the service was lacking, there was clearly some effort to make things right on a busy night, and it came without an attitude. The food was very solid. Pasta was cooked relatively well. The sauces were tasty. The seafood was fresh, but not everyone liked their dishes. The filling of the lobster ravioli was a little dry. The pasta with mushrooms was supposed to have wild mushrooms, but all it had was lots of white bottom mushrooms. It was also overcooked. Given all those imperfections, the place is still very authentic and has a great atmosphere. It’s a BYOB, so bring some Italian wine, which would likely make you forget about the service. The deserts were ok. Good tiramisu, but the kids didn’t enjoy the cannoli. They actually didn’t even take it home. Overall, this place is 4.6-4.7, but we’ll come back with a bottle of wine.

We went here on Father's Day 2023. I barely got a reservation, it was booked. They definitely do not have much seating. Our reservation was at 7:30pm, but they closed at 8pm. We got their early but did not get seated until 7:30pm-ish. We didn't get any bread because they ran out. The eggplant parm was really good but it's a very small portion for an appetizer. I don't think they have drinks. I think it's a BYOB situation. We were only offered/given water which we paid for. But I think it was bottled because it tasted good. Our waitress was very nice but there was a waiter who not only asked us, around 8:05pm, if we were finished, but he also charged us incorrectly on our bill. We didn't even get all our entrees at this point. We still had 3 dishes we were waiting on. The desserts were yummy. I think the food, in general, was good, but the service doesn't make me want to go back. It's not like we were taking our time and making you stay way longer than your work shift. We waited for a bit for our food and we ate and left.

This is one of my favorite restaurants since our first visit in 2018. My husband and I ate here many times and every time was wonderful. We paused coming here for dinner during the pandemic and came back this year. I have to write this review because the service seemed to change for me. The first thing we noticed was that we felt rushed when we ordered. They brought everything out including our appetizers not giving us a chance to enjoy the dishes separately. And our main entrees followed almost 15 minutes later and they were constantly saying are we done? Is there anything else we want? I felt we did not have a lot of time to relax and enjoy our meal, enjoy our wine or even to fully digest our food. For this reason this time was not a good experience for us. The second thing had to do with my entree. I had ordered lamb chops medium, and my husband ordered his medium rare. My husband was very satisfied with his dish, however I felt mine were alittle undercooked for medium and that they should have only been pink inside. I told my waiter about it and he replied to me that “it’s how medium should look”. I ended up giving half of them to my husband. Finally my husband said to ask the waiter to have them cooked alittle more so I requested that they be cooked more, which they did. The waiter came back saying to me next time order them medium well. I was alittle taken back by his comment. Their food is delicious every time but the service and experience did change for me which is why I gave 4 stars. In closing, this was our wedding anniversary and they did ask (when we made the reservation) if there was any special event for this dinner and noted this which we perhaps thought they would come over and say congratulations or give us a better table which was...

Our visit to L’Angolo before a sixers game started out a bit iffy. On a Tuesday we made a 5pm reservation for Friday at 5. It was the last opening and was made directly by phone. When we got there they had no record of the table. Luckily we were a little early and when I showed him the call record on the phone they found a place for us. At that point only one other table was occupied, 10 minutes later every one was full. After that minor hiccup everything was wonderful. The place is very homey and the service by committee was friendly and efficient. Being a BYOB is also a bonus. We started with mussels red. At $15 it was a huge portion and paired well with the delicious bread on the table. I had the beef braciola. It came with spaghetti but for a $3 up charge I got a big portion of large homemade gnocchi instead. My wife had the Pappardelle with shrimp and langostino. It had a nice kick and was delicious. We were very pleased with all the food and for the size and quality it actually felt like a bargain. The only area for improvement would for them to be a little more generous with the sauces. All the dishes had the bare minimum to cover the food with not a drop left when you got to the bottom. This was most noteworthy for the mussels since there was no sauce left to sop up...
