La Colombe — Restaurant in Philadelphia

Horrible. They only had the mozzarella and tomato sandwich available. The bread was soggy, the pesto lacked flavor. I asked for the sandwich to be warmed up. It was cold. But the worse was the sarcastic employee. There was a beautiful display of baked goods. But the enclosure was open in the back. There were flys all over them. I asked if the sandwiches were away in a fridge. He turned to his coworker and asked if he would just stand next to the croissants and swat away the flys. I am sorry if I don’t want to eat food that flys...

Got a tomato and mozzarella sandwich. Order was ready quickly. The ciabatta bread was really great. The ingredients were fresh (slightly less so the spinach, but still fine) and the sandwich was good overall. Would really elevate to next level with a drizzle of balsamic vinegar, though.
