I would starve before I go here again. I had a quick layover in PHL and stopped here to get breakfast. I was seated by the host and told a waitress would be with me. I waited about 8 mins before anyone came and started using the QR code to order when the waitress ( Bancheamlak according to the receipt) ran over telling me not to use the website. Okay fine. I gave her my order and waited patiently for quite sometime ( I had only ordered a breakfast sandwich and a mimosa). Finally, she comes back drops the plate in front of me and walks off without saying a word. She never came back to check if I needed anything or if the food was okay. I picked at the subpar food and then put the plate to the side to signal I was finished. After waiting another 20 minutes and my flight being about to board I finally got her attention to bring me the bill. She brought out the card machine with the total on the screen (no paper receipt) dropped it in front me and walked off again. I selected to add a minimal tip for the poor service tapped my card and waited for the approved notification before leaving. I go to catch my flight and as I'm at the gate waiting for my group to be called her comes the waitress saying I didn't pay. I have NEVER taken anything without paying for it. EVER! I told her I had paid and had the charge on my statement already. I was then told I needed to go back to the restaurant to pay a bill that I had already paid. She then showed me a bill for a different amount than what was on the machine she brought me earlier. So whose bill had she given me before??? In order to not miss my flight I paid the bill and asked how I would be refunded for the incorrect bill. I was told I would need to contact my credit card company as they don't have a record that I paid twice. This is the worst service I've experienced and would never go here again. Now I need to get my credit card company...

Genuinely shocked by how terrible the food is, especially considering that the place that is supposed to be owned by Food Network judge Michael Symon. Someone else’s review mentioned that it’s like cafeteria food which is a very accurate description. Although I’d correct it to say it’s DRY, BLAND, and FLAVORLESS cafeteria food.

In addition to the below mediocre food, the woman who waited on us was extremely rude and clearly didn’t want to be at work that day. She served us gluten-containing food even after we told her about gluten allergies within our group. She didn’t apologize, just acted annoyed that she had to switch the order for the correct one. She had a terrible attitude the whole time we were there but we gave her a good tip anyway to give her the benefit of the doubt. She had the audacity to complain that the tip wasn’t big enough which was bizarre. I’m not sure who is in charge of hiring the people who work here, but it was truly a terrible experience all around and we won’t return. Saying this place serves cafeteria food is an insult to cafeteria’s. I’ve eaten at cafeteria’s that serve better food. This location is clearly just a cash cow to profit off overtired, hungry, desperate airline passengers. Michael Symon should be ashamed...

Not quite what I expected. On the positive side, the Victory Brewing Golden Monkey beer was really, really good. On the negative side the service was more than a bit slow and definitely unattentive. I had to flag down the bartender 3 different times to get my order placed and ask for additional dressing, and they were less than 50% full. I ordered the Big Blue salad, which took 15 min (really?, for a salad in an airport?). The salad sounded good but was THE BLANDEST blue cheese salad I ever had, even after I requested more blue cheese crumbles and extra dressing on the side (which they forgot on my original order). The blue cheese tasted more like cottage cheese than blue cheese. Again, not what I expected considering Chef Symon's reputation. The bartender never checked back to see how the food was or if I wanted another beer. I also heard the kitchen just call out that there was no more bacon, really? I'd say skip this place and find somewhere else.

The absolute worst customer service and food. Please avoid at all cost. I was not invited or guided to sit to dine upon arrival. First time here. Went and placed my order at the counter and sat to wait 10 minutes for food. After I sat down I was told I couldn’t sit in the area because it was for dine in only. It was barely 7 am and hardly any patrons. I asked if I could switch my order to dine in and was told no. The lady gestured for me to go sit over there and pointed to the gates! I then asked to cancel my order and requested a refund. I was told we don’t cancel orders here. I grabbed my food when it came out. The absolute worst breakfast sandwich. Sausage patties were so dry and crispy. A waste of $20. Tossed it all in the trash.

There is nothing worse than making a choice based on expectations and name notoriety. What a complete and utter let down from one of my favorite Food Network chefs who I am certain has no idea they are dragging his name through the dirt. I still can’t believe they served me the most expensive thing on the menu, beer battered fish so overcooked, paired with french fries, that still had oil dripping of of them. Check out the saturated oil mark on the liner! Such a disappointing experience that I honestly wish would have been better. If you are in the Philadelphia airport, stay away from Bar Symon and head over to Chickie Petes where I had a awesome meal.
