I feel incredibly fortunate to have been invited to the extraordinary Messina Social Club in South Philadelphia by my American family, traveling all the way from Melbourne, Australia. Without a doubt, it was worth every mile of the over 10,000-mile journey. This dining experience exemplified the perfect blend of exceptional hospitality, artistry, and innovation in food and drink.

From the moment we stepped inside, it was clear that this was going to be a night to remember. The service was nothing short of outstanding, with the team demonstrating an unparalleled level of attentiveness and care. Every detail was meticulously considered, with a personalized touch that truly set the experience apart.

The cocktails and drinks were a highlight of the evening. Each was tailored not only to the dishes but also to the preferences of the individuals ordering them, making for a truly bespoke experience. Every drink was a masterpiece—original, exquisite, and bursting with flavors that were simply unmatched. The pairing of these drinks with the menu was masterful, enhancing both the food and beverages in a way that elevated the entire dining experience.

The meal itself was orchestrated to perfection, starting with delightful nibbles and flowing seamlessly through appetizers, entrées, and desserts. A particularly charming touch was the changing of cutlery and dishes with every course, each piece part of a unique china pattern. We were told these were from a collection the restaurant has gathered since the early 20th century, adding a layer of history and elegance to the night.

The ambiance was equally impeccable. The music and overall atmosphere were perfectly curated to create an intimate and enjoyable setting. It was the ideal backdrop for a memorable evening filled with laughter, great company, and unparalleled culinary experiences.

A heartfelt thank you to the entire team who looked after us so wonderfully throughout the night, with a special mention to Ryan, whose warmth and professionalism as our host made the evening even more extraordinary. I am already looking forward to the privilege of visiting again...

What an incredible experience!! Once you become a member and make your first reservation you can look forward to an incredible culinary experience. Once you ring the bell and show your membership card you are waked to your table. Order your drinks they are delicious! And then you sit back and wait. The 6 coursed meal included a crudo, a salad, a fish, a pasta, a meat and a dessert. We had 4 drinks and between food ($190), drinks and tip we spent over $300! The food was incredible and the right size portions, I could live without the drinks and save $100 and the service was great. I think the only thing that was not great tonight was the music: wayyyyy too loud, I couldn’t hear my husband or the waiter speaking inches away from me. And hard rock? Really?? Not what I pictured in a south Philly Sicilian 100yo club. It sounded like I was in a cheap dirty fishtown neighborhood bar… not the right vibe and honestly if you are gonna pick such a specific type of music keep it low. I left the place with a full belly a happy soul and...

Our friend who is a member took us there what an amazing experience and a perfect meal everything including the pairings of both wine and spirits was so on point. Also the casual but very nice setting makes it more relaxing to sit in there and really enjoy the food the drink and the people you're with the staff was absolutely unbelievable I forget the woman's name but she has red hair and she not only knew everything about the menu and the drinks but was deeply passionate about each one and really had some amazing recommendations if you can get the chance to go here I would highly recommend it I don't want to Philadelphia for a very long time and I will be making sure I get a membership to this place cuz it is something that you don't want to miss especially if you're from The Culinary world you need to go see what these guys are...
