Monk Seafood — Restaurant in Philadelphia

I came here Wednesday for the first time and and my food was immaculate so good I ended up coming back the very next day although I was gagged out of my free veggie platter untill the owner came in and realized that I purchased 3lbs of crab legs the guy that took my order did not mention to me or even bring to my attention that I get a free vegies platter so I give credit to the owner for that . But the very next day I come back and get 6 2$ sauteed crabs that were cooked in about 5-10 min still was cold and I'm not sure if it was the garlic not being properly cooked and marinated but my stomach started feeling nauseous so I couldn't eat the rest and like I mentioned I brought 6 2$ sauteed crabs and I'm not the best with math but the price came out to be 16-17 dollars not really sure where that number came from but that'll be...

When Monk's seafood open up, my husband and I were happy seafood lovers. The seafood was fresh and delicious. We went there on, 4/29/22 and the food wasn't good at all. With covid being so, provident the employees didn't have on proper attire, serving and handling the food. The 3 gentlemen didn't have on aprons, one was cleaning the shrimps, the second one was frying the food, third one was the cashier, packing up the food, in street clothes. I even notice the back looking drabby. I purchased cole slaw that was horrible, that mean the date has expired on the salad. We spend to much money, to get less quality. I love patronizing black businesses, but black businesses should, appreciate their customers, too, by staying the same, when u first open....

So we spent $76 in this place. The shrimp not bad. Blue crabs had absolutely no taste was and not the size for the price especially because they were females. Was given butter and garlic on the side and that didn't help at all. Was looking for a good crab cake that's why we chose this spot. Welp it was lump crab with absolutely no flavor other than the sea. And to top it off we ordered an extra one which was $11 for something that taste like $6. My son who usually eats all his FF left them on his plate. No flavor at all and was asked did we want salt and pepper. Also had the seafood combo salad. Staff couldn't tell me what was in but all the good seafood....Like what Sir....This was totally a waste of...
