Old Mexico Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Philadelphia

The young woman who I spoke to on the phone was not very knowledgeable about the menu or honestly anything about the food itself. That being said, a second young woman overheard me and her coworker, and immediately stepped in to answer all of my questions quickly, being exceptionally informative about every inquiry I had. Picking up and paying for our food went was wonderful. I was Greeted very politely and my food was hot and ready. The food was...well I give the food one star. My boyfriend and I both got chimichangas- He chicken and I beef- as I said before, we were not impressed Probably won’t be back, but still overall it wasn’t a horrible experience. My suggestion - change nothing on the Front of House end, save for urging the wait staff to become more informed about the menu. The food wasn't bad, but it wasn't special either. We had ordered ours to go because it seemed like no one in there was wearing a mask (wearing one on your chin doesn't count!). The prices were pretty high especially for lunch. Additionally they asked us if we wanted chips and salsa and told me that it was going to be an extra $4! I got a taco, chalupa, and cheese enchilada and it was $8. The taco was soggy and the shell fell apart as soon as I picked it up. The chalupa was only soggy on the bottom and it was pretty good. I did enjoy the guacamole on it. The cheese enchilada was completely melted to the styrofoam carton. Now I picked up this food as soon as it came from the kitchen so it hadn't been sitting around except maybe in the kitchen. It just didn't seem like an $8 meal and it was not worth it for lunch. Next time I'll just stick to the Mexican restaurants in Meridian. At least they give you complimentary chips and...

Last time I went it was super hot in there. I just wanted to leave just becauseof that... but I tried to stay because I used to like to come here. But everytime I order a steak.. I get a half a steak and it isn't cooked the way I ordered. Asked for rare and it was cooked all the way? Everytime I come.. people are yelling. They could ask them to at least try to keep it down a little? I ordered a big drink. It was 25! Dollars and I drank it all and wasn't even buzzed! It was my birthday! Crazy.. not sure when I will be back, but hopefully next time. It will be better. I will sick to next door. Oh bathroom had no soap.. no paper towels.. not to mention the door was wide open so everyone can see in there. Big yikes.. hot or not give me full privacy in the bathroom at least. I don't know...
