Taquerria La Cocinita — Restaurant in Philadelphia

The girl that works there was super sweet however the white guy with the tattoos on his neck was not. I was there picking up my co workers food and was trying to hurry. She had already called in the order and the wait wasn’t that long. While I was there I asked the lady if I could order chips and salsa to go. The “manager” as he called himself was to busy doing nothing with a young guy on company time to assist her. She asked for help twice once with my order and second with the phone when it rang as she was checking me out. Both of her request he said no... come to find out the younger guy was prank calling the store while she was waiting on me. I asked her who was the manager was and she told me he was filling in currently. He asked me what my problem was and I told him I was trying to get back to work. He then told me that if I would have called in my order they could have got it out in time and blamed me for not doing so. I have to disagree with that if this restaurant had employees you cared enough about the job to do the work that is required which means helping other employees and not prank calling other employees while they let me rephrase that she waits on customers then I believe y’all would get more service. My problem once again is not with the young lady that waited on me. She did her job the way it’s supposed to be done but the two guys that were lazy and rude to a paying customer is...

Food is excellent! Service is very lacking, and the workers seemed like they either hate their jobs, or they just are having a bad day! Not welcoming, no smiles, have to track them down to even look your way for a refill. Especially the older lady, she just ignores you, and really shouldn’t be in the food service industry. Our service was awful, but the food is exceptional! We were just passing through, we are not from this area. Love coming here. It isn't hot in here. There are tvs where you can watch things while you wait for your food. Food is very good. Sometimes they get our orders mixed up but it's ok.. but the food is still really good. I enjoy coming here. It is cleaned. The service is very kind. I wish they served more drinks then what they have, but it's ok. Over all I recommend this place. Their fajitas are very good. Their shrimp is very yummy. Nice to come here on a special occasion.
