I wanted to love this place as my new, local go-to but was unimpressed w/ the staff, to be honest. I paid $5.40 for an espresso with a little bit of oat milk — I know the oat milk costs extra, but when you’re getting such a small amount, finding something fair to ring it up as would be appreciated… Then I saw someone get a coffee and proceed to pour double the amount of oat milk as I had used into his cup from the free cold canister 😆 In the end, the decaf espresso tasted acidic (I’ve had this drink kinda around the world, so I have something to compare it to…) and I didn’t enjoy the drink. They seemed super annoyed when I asked for a little hot water to soften it.
I don’t expect every barista to love my existence, but if you’re paying $5.50 for a 4oz drink, it’s pretty off-putting to be treated like you’re an annoyance. When I left and wished the staff members a nice evening, they barely acknowledged me. Just not a nice feeling and I’ll be looking for another spot in the community where I feel more comfortable 🙏🏽
Ah, also, the pictures show food, but they don’t actually...
Read moreCould not believe how horrible the customer service was here! I have never written a review before but because of the rudeness I experienced at the shop and all the other interactions I saw from the staff towards customers that were equally unacceptable I had to write this review. Barista that was working there did not even acknowledge me when I tried to ask her about their pastries and drinks and only bothered to interact when asking me to pay. I thought maybe she was having a bad day. However, I went again a couple of days later and the same woman was working the register. I said good morning to her and all I got was a stare. I thought maybe she hadn’t heard me. But as I was waiting for my drink to be made she had the exact same rudeness towards all other customers who ordered after me. The coffee itself was good and the ambiance of the shop was nice. However the interaction with the staff made the entire experience sour. Will not be going back unless they change...
Read moreThe courtesy of one particular barista here is so poor it’s impossible to understand—eye rolling, sighing, storming off, and ending up making mistakes because they were too immediately hostile to listen to the order. I worked as a barista for years at a busy bar that was an absolute zoo. I’ve never seen any comparable level of business at this place, nor is there anything about our order or manner that would explain this barista’s attitude that is leveled at my wife, and to a lesser extent me, every single time we come in. It takes a lot for me to complain about an employee, because I know people have bad days, but it’s every time. I wonder if this person is somehow NEVER a customer anywhere, allowing them to be on a high horse of contempt toward anyone who has the nerve to order an iced coffee. I don’t care to see my wife bewildered by the way she is treated every time she buys beans or doesn’t make coffee at home so we...
