This is why I stopped ordering a couple of years back! Their food USED TO BE THE BOMB!!! Then, idk if they CHANGED COOKS OR OWNERS, but it went down & I STOPPED GETTING ANYTHING BECAUSE OF IGNORANT CASHIERS & COOKS WHO CAN’T COOK!!! I WISH I HAD TAKEN A BEFORE PIC BUT I CERTAINLY HAVE AN AFTER!!! I GOT THE ‘2 BROILED CRAB CAKES OVER PASTA WITH FRIES & BROCCOLI! PLATTER GOT HERE IN 10 MINUTES!! RED FLAG🚩 : FELT VERY HEAVY(GOOD PORTIONS), OPENED IT UP & 2 NICE SIZE ‘BARELY BROILED’ CRAB CAKES OVER VERY DRY UNSEASONED PASTA, VERY LIMP BLAND BROCCOLI & GOOD SEASONED FRIES IF THEY CRISPY, WOULD’VE BEEN GREAT! NOW WHEN I ORDERED, I WAS RUSHED OFF THE PHONE SO I CALLED BACK FOR A MENU, COCKTAIL & TARTAR SAUCES! CASHIER SAID, ‘NO PROBLEM!!!’ WELL GUESS WHAT, JUST LIKE THE ‘SEASONINGS, FOOD PREP & CUSTOMER SERVICE, THEY WERE ALL MISSING AS WELL!!! I HAD TO CHOPPED SOME GARLIC, GET OUT THE BUTTER & ‘MY SEASONINGS’ & COMBINE THE PASTA WITH THE BROCCOLI, HOPING THEY WILL BOTH ABSORB SOME FLAVOR TOGETHER! THEN I POPPED THE 2 CRAB CAKES SPRINKLED WITH MY GARLIC POWDER, OLD BAY & CILANTRO FLAKES IN THE BROILER UNTIL THEY LOOKED LIKE SOMETHING!!! ALSO, THANK GOD, I HAD A BOTTLE OF THE BEST COCKTAIL SAUCE IN THE WORLD (KELCHNER’S) & I MIXED IT WITH THEIR HORSERADISH FOR A ‘TANGY DIPPING SIDE FOR THE PASTA & CAKE CAKES!!! FOR $30(INCLUDING TIP), I SHOULD NOT HAVE TO ‘SEASON & RECOOK THE FOOD I JUST PURCHASED FROM YOU!!! I FEEL LIKE IF THEY HADN’T RUSHED, IT WOULD’VE BEEN SO MUCH BETTER!!! NOW, I REMEMBER WHY I STOPPED ORDERING!!!(btw, the fries are in the fridge: I’m going to REFRY them & MAKE CRAB FRIES out of them tomorrow!!! I have CANS of CRABMEAT! SHOULD OF JUST MADE MY OWN FOOD LIKE I WOUND UP DOING ANYWAY!!!

Overall had a pretty good experience here. The staff was all very friendly and I loved the sea-themed decor. There was sitting and a sink so you can dig into your food right after you get it. My sister got a king crab platter with shrimp and overall liked it. The seafood was well seasoned. Her only complaint was for the sides. The macaroni salad had too much of a vinegar taste for her liking and the corn needed more flavor. I had a boneless buffalo platter which had generous portions and was only $10. If you live nearby and want some seafood, I recommend giving this place a try!

Have been twice. Clearly the first time was good enough to go back but the 2nd time was quite disappointing. Got a different platter and the food wasn't good. The fish was hard and the mac and cheese definitely wasn't what auntie makes. Add in the discrepancy in pricing from the "online " menu when searched thru my browser vs the code on the menu. And when you add in sales tax the total paid was higher than my calculations. Not sure why. Food wasn't that good to ask. Nice people though.

I was ordering pretty steadily from this place during the shutdown. At the beginning of the shutdown the delivery was fine and the food was okay. Then in the last couple months something changed and the women answering the phone have nasty attitudes, the drivers are unreliable and they try to blame you when they provide bad service. The drivers don't call or deliver the food and then lie and say they came and no one answered the phone or door. They keep raising the prices but don't update the prices on the menus even though the menus are current. Essentially, they needed customers to order takeout and delivery during the shutdown but now that everything's back open they're telling their customers who patronized them to kick rocks because they're in University City (barely) and the students will be back and they don't need our money. Forget that our money kept their doors open. Now they're coming up with fake excuses not to delivery further up. They were leaving their menus on my door several times a week during the shutdown. I'd never even heard of them before the pandemic let alone got their menus. Now rather than just saying they don't deliver this far up anymore and it was only during the pandemic they do it like this. They charge more if you live further out. Then they don't deliver your order at all and claim you didn't answer so the next time you call they say they don't deliver to your address because there was a problem with delivery so your address is blocked. But wait that's not the end, the owner gets on the phone and says you're welcome to come pick up your order...as if I would give my money to some grease ball who just lied on me and to me! I'm sure this isn't the only establishment that extended their delivery services during the pandemic but I hope the others don't handle things this way. It's all for the best anyway, I was running out of menu items to try. Every time I ordered, the food got worst. Too salty or no flavor at all...never consistent. So much for supporting neighborhood businesses during the pandemic. My neighbor told me they did the same thing to them the month before so I was kind of expecting this. It's not a coincidence that my neighbor had the exact same experience. Two no shows for delivery and then address blocked from delivery. I'm sure there are more customers living in "certain" areas getting the same treatment from...

The experience I received today was very belittling. For this business to operate in an urban community as such, to generate revenue off of the residents alone for a thriving several years, yet have a racist , discriminating , unfair disposition is appalling. I placed an order online, got a confirmation, the system said my order will be ready in 30min, I drove 20min to pick it up. The store claims they never received the order, and that they'll place ny order but they will not honor the 10% coupon because this order was not done online..The woman in the store made a big deal as to call several people on the phone, speaking in another language about the situation while looking me right in the eyes. She even made a comment to one of the workers how I didn't do something on my end (as if she was there when I placed the order). I simply walked in the store to pick up my order that I placed online using a 10% coupon that their website offered. The total discount was $1.50.😞.The entire situation was conducted confrontational free intentionally on my behalf, because it had the potential to be very ugly considering her actions. I simply asked if they would still honor the coupon considering the computer glitch was no fault of mine. Good Customer service and appreciation for the many years of contributions the people in thus neighborhood has served to this business, She should have honored the coupon. I didn't cause a fight because that would have been selfish, this is way bigger than me...If the people who keeps their family Fed year after year... generation after generation don't deserve respect and fair treatment as rendered to other races while running businesses in their neighborhoods ...then WE should STOP FEEDING THEIR FAMLY. IM asking for the people in the neighborhood of 48th and Spruce and beyond and PASS the word. DO NOT PATRONIZE THIS BUSINESS.. We as a people need to nip discrimination, lack of respect, un fair treatment and ALL forms of RACISM in the bud...
