Rebel & Wolf Cafe — Restaurant in Philadelphia

We found this place while specifically searching for a pet-friendly café—something they clearly advertise on Google. We went in, placed our order, and sat by the window with our miniature dachshund, who was quietly leashed and calmly sitting with us. No barking, no disruption.

Our order was called and we started eating, only to be approached by a man from behind the counter who told us, “We’re only pet-friendly for takeout orders.” He said it was “for safety reasons.”

No scene, no argument—we simply left. But here’s the real review: If you're going to claim to be pet-friendly, don’t mislead people. There’s nothing posted on the windows stating otherwise, and ironically, there's even a dog bowl sitting right outside your door.

As for the food? Also a letdown. I ordered the turkey sausage, egg, and cheese on a bagel. It was mostly bread—barely any meat or egg.

No thanks. Won’t be back. Plenty of better options nearby that are actually welcoming—and honest—about...

Lovely owners, nice baristas, and great atmosphere for hanging out! Their menu is affordable, but very unique, and their service was super fast even though they were busy when I stopped in. I tried their applesauce and seed toast, which was really delicious and even just one slice was plenty for my breakfast. They had a seasonal cider and chai iced drink that I super enjoyed as well. I could see this is a great cafe to sit in, read a book, meet a friend, or even to work from with a laptop. I'll definitely be back to do one of those! They also have a nice selection of card/board games.

I also love that they support local artists. Right now, when I stopped in November 2023, they had an artist named Stephanie on display and she had wonderful pet portraits and prints available. I am also looking forward to being one of their future artists...

I could not love this place more. I am not a coffee person, but they have an astonishingly good selection of non-coffee drinks rotating seasonally. Their house-made “quenchers” are a triumph. The food is similarly delightful with enormous portions at really good price points. I am partial to the Labneh toast and of course the signature Döner Kebab is fabulous.

My family loves the vibe - the owners have very thoughtfully curated a selection of toys, art supplies, board games, and coloring books that keep our 3-yo requesting to come visit often.
