Modern Family Market — Local services in Philadelphia

This place struggles with volume and speed of service for sandwiches. I live in the neighborhood and want this place to do well. I like the family that runs it. You guys are really sweet. The selection and inventory of drinks and snacks are great. That said, I feel you guys would want constructive feedback to get better. This is the third time in a row where I have had to wait for over 20 mins for a sandwich order when the place is not busy. This Sunday 09/14 at 2 PM there is one guy running the whole shop. So he’s making sandwiches while being interrupted when checking out people with snacks/drinks. The Sandwiches are pretty good, but I have lost my confidence to not waist my time waiting...

Update: I have come back here many times since my last review and I am happy to report they were always open when I popped in between 6 - 7pm. They also make great deli sandwiches. They are priced higher than your average corner store but the quality and size makes it a good value. I often can only eat half the 6” and then I save the other half for a second meal later. The store is very clean and has a nice little coffee bar with flavored syrups. I hope they succeed so I can keep coming back here.

My husband, who is from Philly, said "this is one of the best Italian hoagies I've ever eaten". I had a turkey hoagie. Unbelievable. Not an ounce of dryness. The owners are LOVELY. The store itself is so adorable. A clean and modern little corner store that South Philly is lacking. Candies, ice cream, some grocery items, coffee...just everything you'd want in your neighborhood with incredible food....
