When I first reviewed this place a couple of years ago it was 5 stars. Absolutely fantastic - the pho broth was phenomenal, the portions were ridiculously huge, the banh mi was on wonderful bread and well stuffed. Since then, the prices have doubled, the portions have halved, the banh mi are almost empty, and they *consistently* forget things in the order. I'm willing to forgive a lot due to Covid, but we're starting to get back to normal again now and this place needs to rediscover its former glory or I won't order from them again. I am *not* willing to pay $15 for a couple of cups of mediocre broth, a few slices of meat, noodles and a half stem of chopped scallion. Sort it out.

This Vietnamese noodle bar is a gem inside Germantown food market. There were so much to choose from and we happen to find it while looking for pho in the area. You can dine in or sit outside where there is plenty of tables. The menu is not complicated. It has all your favorite and served quickly. Charlie has great social skills and takes great care of his customers. Food was served fast. The beef broth is flavorful. The bread for Banh mi is very crispy and seasoning is good. If you are a fan of Vietnamese food then this little spot hidden inside the marketplace is a great options when visiting in the area.

I was thoroughly impressed! Exceptionally savory broth in my Pho Tai, I added shrimp (extra $4) and they were large, plump, and fresh tasting! Steak was sliced very thin, the way I like, and nice sized portion! It was so good I didn't stop eating to get a pic til I had almost finished lol! I had been saying Chesnut Hill needed a good Phó place, and here I find they already have one!! Highly recommend!!

First impression is everything. I walked up to the register excited to order and was greeted with a not so friendly individual who looked pissed. After he stop yelling at his crew I inquired about an item on the menu. A customer stood next to me and picked up an order and suggested I try veggie spring rolls...he did this because I overheard his order and was interested in his vegan meal...we both realized the veggie spring rolls weren't on the menu and when I asked...I felt ignored...the customer then jumped in and said they may be a special order...so I then turned to the cashier who just stood there with a disgusted look the entire time and asked how much they would be....he made a cringe expression toward me as if I should know and said same price ..then yelled again at his staff....I then hoped that This wasn't his daily attitude toward new customers and tried to cheer him up with a Don't let them get to you. ..I couldn't even pay for my food because then he had an issue with the machine...after He seen me walk off from another area a few minutes later he waved bye...not sure what to take away from that experience. Id like to give this guy a second chance because of course we all have our bad days...but I'm hoping he knows that frustration within can be so easily noticed through body language and mannerisms and at times even contagious...I was hoping to be a new customer as I previously began a...

The building is called 8221 Market that houses the restaurant(it is behind the Chestnut Hill Hotel). The inside is like a smaller version of The Reading Terminal so you have to walk around to find it. The service was regular nothing special he took my mom’s and mine order and the wait was no longer than 30 minutes. Now the food, honey! The pho was amazing, my mom had chicken and I had Vegetable with tofu. I never had a veggie broth so flavorful, and it had this spicy sweet sauce on the side that I would dip my tofu pieces in. And the amount of pho that you get is definitely 2 servings. This place will be my go to...
