Came here with a group of friends and it did NOT disappoint!
Upon walking in, you can see how much love was put into this new spot. The ambiance was amazing, giving it an approachable and cozy, yet up-scale vibe, not to mention the huge, live-moss wall with their namesake displayed. Thankfully we made reservations, since it was packed during the Sunday night dinner rush, but we were greeted by our hostess and immediately seated into a larger booth that fit all of us very comfortably. The wait staff was immediately ready to get our drink orders while we waited for everyone from our party to arrive. They have a great wine selection, and even though I'm not much of a liquor drinker, their signature cocktails blew me out of the water (Must try the heat check!).
We split a bunch of appetizers which came out promptly. While there is no "free bread basket", we did get their signature Stuffed Focaccia and it is worth EVERY. SINGLE. PENNY., I promise you'll never have anything like it anywhere else in the city. We also split the Eggplant Fritters which were borderline addicting, as well as mussels which were one of the night's appetizer specials.
For entrees, both the spaghetti and lamb were out of this world, but the tri-colored gnocci was completely original and unlike anything I've ever had before (in the best way possible). Everything came out hot and perfectly cooked, and for once I didn't have anything left to bring home. The waitress told us that all of the ingredients are specially ordered either from local producers or shipped straight from Italy, and with each dish you could tell they used only the highest quality ingredients. From the very first dish that is placed on the table, it's immediately evident that the chef really brings his own touch to this old-school meets new-school Italian while putting 100% into each dish
The whole meal was such a great and warm experience. The waitstaff were incredibly attentive and prompt with drinks and the meal was timed just right. It's definitely the perfect place for anything from a get-together with friends or a romantic date night. I'm not one to "rate and review", but Adelina's truly stands out as original, homey, and an overall amazing dining experience and I can't wait to go back to try more...
Read moreI will start with the good/positives!! First, we went here for a birthday celebration. The hostess was wonderful. She greeted us with a hello and a Happy Birthday to the Birthday guest. My sweetheart! The atmosphere is nice and creates a great date night spot (great vibe)! We both liked (didn’t say love) our drinks! Bruschetta was 🤤 delicious! Calamari was very good! Now the bad and ugly!!!! Our waiter was just ok- indifferent! I definitely WOULD NOT go back. I had the fusilloni - not worth the price - don’t waste your time or money. The pasta was chewy 🤨and the meat was beef jerky!!! 👎🏾 Well I have actually never had beef jerky. But I didn’t care for the meat all!! I mentioned to the waiter that the pasta was chewy 🤨and he had no response to that comment. Again his attitude! I took a few bites and asked for a to go container and it was thrown out this morning. Very disappointing. 😕I wasted money!!! My partner had the Linguine again DO NOT waste your money. His bowl was the size of a cereal bowl. We laughed. Pasta again chewy 🤨 and I think he got about three bites and he was done! I think it would work better as an appetizer (he had about two mussels and two shrimp in the bowl with the pasta)$$$One more thing: He thought his food was bland! 🤨 They need stop ✋🏾with the $$$ cuz the price and the food do not match! Oh and let me not forget, we had no bread with our pasta. I was very surprised that no rolls came with the meal or even for the table. 🤨 Lastly dessert! Thank goodness we didn’t try. We dared not ventured into this territory. I was surprised that a small token for birthday was not done. Even at Cheesecake Factory you get a slice of cake. Not that it was expected but IDK just seems like a miss to me on their part! But truthfully I am sure the dessert missed the mark! LOL! So it really Didnt matter! 🤔 We are not going back or recommending for others to try!
I say go to Double Knot or Sampan - they know how to treat you! My celebration was at Double Knot! And we are going back to Doutble knot! Sampan is always winner! Go THERE!
I knew we should of went over to Jersey to eat but we thought we try chestnut hill. And we were disappointed! 👎🏾 Nope...
Read moreYum! This place was great (with a few flaws). The outdoor seating is beautiful and the food was overall good. But, some foods were lacking. I like the location of this restaurant. There is plenty of street parking for anyone driving. Chestnut hill is a beautiful little town and this restaurant is one of the best here. The menu is confusing, but the waiters/waitresses are very helpful. I’d recommend to all!
Service: To explain further, I thought the service wasn’t the best since my water was empty for a while and our waiter didn’t fill it automatically. I’m picky on this bc I drink a lot of water, but most probably wouldn’t care. I love restaurants that have people who look for empty water cups and refill them, unfortunately this restaurant is not one of them. And I had to ask multiple time for a refil. Not a problem to most, but is for moi.
Stuffed Foaccia (10/10): Great appetizer! I would definitely get this. The bread and the stuffing was amazing and the flavor was incredible. I loved the spice-infused oil. Also, it was unique since I never had a dish like this before.
Meatballs (8/10): Hard to justify the price, but these were still really good. The sauce was amazing and the meatballs were great. I think most would find these really great, but I’m biased since a few weeks prior I visited a place that had some of the best rated meatballs (5 star yelp). I would recommend.
Whole rack of lamb (9/10): Great meal. I love lamb and this was pretty good. I liked the demi-glaze, but wasn’t the biggest fan of the mint crust although I know it is liked by many. The price is quite steep, but that is the price we pay for inflation. I liked the dish! And would recommend.
Spaghetti (4/10): First of all, terrible presentation. And second, it just wasn’t good. The flavor was bad and just overall not worth the price. Definitely steer clear. Just my opinion.
Brussel Sprouts (10/10): So good! Loved this side. I found the addition of the Pancetta to be amazing. Some of the best sprouts I’ve ever had....
