Salerno's Ristorante & Pizzeria — Restaurant in Philadelphia

The first contact you have with an establishment sets the tone. Rosa answered when I called to place my order for pickup. Her patience & knowledge of the menu was refreshing. She made me feel they valued their customers. I came on 2/27/25 around 4 pm and the food was ready for pickup at the stated time. The attached pics speak volumes on their own. You could taste the food was made with fresh ingredients. I got the Primavera pizza which was excellent. Rosa suggested I try the white sauce pizza; sooooo glad I did, yum! Cheese fries were abundant with/ plenty of cheese whiz. The cheese steak was made with 'very good' steak meat. Everything was packaged neatly for me to carry out. This area is lucky to have Salerno's still in the neighborhood. They should be supported for being a 'top-notch' Pizzeria Restaurant; realizing they could have relocated anywhere as others have....BUT they choose to stay! THANK YOU...

So today I called to place an order for pick up, this would’ve been the very first time I’ve ordered from them if the girl Alyssa didn’t have such an attitude answering the phone. I asked her a simple question do you all use grilled chicken for the cheesesteaks or is it the minute chicken steaks, she says rudely I don’t know, so I said can you ask someone and find out for me, she slams the phone down never said she was putting me on hold or anything, I hang up and call back two minutes later and she immediately puts me on hold and finally comes back to the phone and I ask for a manager or owner of the store and she says his name is Tony and he’s not here rudely......I will never patronize a store with someone as rude as her, frankly I’m afraid to patronize you all now I don’t know what she may do to my food. Thanks but no thanks....good customer service...

I like going to this place whenever me and my dad are in the area going to thrift stores. The food is good and taste yummy. Ths place reminds so much of montesini in the mayfair area. My biggest and only complaint is that you have to stand outside to order and wait. If it extremely hot, or cold, windy and raining outside you have to either wait in your car or I guess call a head. Me and my family prefer to order regular from montestini in the mayfair mall because we can go inside and sit down while we wait for our order. Not to mention montesini also support the local catholic church and school st Timothy. I highly recommend montesini in the mayfair mall inmayfair d they have a small restaurants in the back and they sell beer and glass bottle of Mexican Coca-Cola.
