I visited this location on a Sunday afternoon. There were two people working that day. My friend and I were disappointed by not being greeting as we entered the store, which is usually a yellow flag for me. We ordered two smoothies, and it seemed that cashier may have been new or not trained on how to use the system, because she asked us to repeat our order several times. Not a big deal. After waiting over 20 minutes for two smoothies, and watching other customers receive their order, I asked if our order was ready. There was a mistake with the order and only one smoothie was made, which sat in the counter without anyone telling us. The second employee was somewhat rude when we asked about the status of our order, saying that other people were ahead of us (which we saw arrived and ordered after us). They offered to make our smoothies again correctly and said it would only take 30 seconds. We agreed, and after a few minutes, we were told that they didn’t make enough for two. At that point, we asked for our money back because we already waited 25 minutes and were running behind for an appointment. I would like to support this business again because it’s close to home, but please hire more people and adequately train them. A “hello” or “welcome to smoothie king” goes a long way. It’s also nice when the staff can let customers know that they are running behind, and apologize...
Read moreI wanted to make a complaint for the smoothie king location that is on city Ave. I went in yesterday around 1pm. I was never greeted when I walked in, there was party of 3 ahead of me, all together. Now I understand 3 smoothies can be a lot to make. But there was only 1 person working, so he took the order and then made the smoothies. Still did not acknowledge me and say “give me a minute to make there’s and then I’ll be with you" once the party of 3 paid, the employee then went on to make their order. Still never said anything or acknowledge me. By this time i was in the store for over 10 mins waiting. This lady then walks in and waits down by the online order counter. Please keep in mind her smoothie was never made because he was still taking the order of the party of 3. While putting the party of 3 smoothies together, he proceeds to make her online order. I do not think this was fair and her order should have waited. By this time I was in the store for maybe 15 mins total without having my order taken. All I wanted was an Acai bowl which was not going to take long at all. I don’t know if it was the day but this location needs helps or more than just 1 person doing everything. I ended up walking out without having my Order taken because I just could not wait any longer.
This was my first time going to smoothie king and it was not a good...
Read moreI accidentally left my credit cards in the City Ave store on Friday. I realized Saturday afternoon and called them. The young lady who answered my call confirmed the cards were there and she would be opening the store the next day and I can pick them up. I then got an email the next morning that my cards were enrolled in someone's apple/Google pay wallet etc. I went to the store and asked to speak with the lady who confirmed the card was there. She refused to come out. This makes no sense as she didn't know what I asked to see her for. In essence someone from your store took my cards while they were at your store and added them to their Google wallet. THIS WAS AN EMPLOYEE. I have the email to show it. I spoke to a manager who said they checked the camera and could not see anyone with my cards. He also said the store didn't open at 7 which was when I got the email. That doesn't mean someone in the store didn't write the numbers down, OR remember the numbers and enroll the cards into their wallet. The manager basically GASLIGHTED me. DON'T USE YOUR CARD OR EVEN GO TO THIS SMOOTHIE KING. They are dishonest and management covers up for them. Again the cards were there since Friday they confirmed they had them and someone tried to enroll them to their account before I could...
