Southside Bar and Grill — Restaurant in Philadelphia

The bar was cool. The atmosphere was nice. Laid back and relaxed inside. Nice music playing, crowd was "grown and sexy" We ordered our food, which was a bit pricey for such a small place with no real dining area or tables, other than the outside setup. After ordering, we went and sat outside. It was about 1030 when we were there, so we assumed that was why we couldn't hear any music right outside the bar. It was also a bit windy, making it a little uncomfortable. After about 40 minutes of waiting, we started asking the waiter what was going on with our food orders. He was pretty attentive and checked regularly, giving updates. However, we waited another 40 minutes before our food actually came out. Although we were set up at a table outside, they brought our food in takeout containers. The food was delicious! Everything was on point! It was well worth the price, but not the wait. As we ate our food, we saw several people walk out due to the long wait for their food, and they were already there when we arrived. I will say, the food was really good, the place was small, but nice. I would not return simply because of the ridiculously long wait...

I had drinks and food with friends last night. Worst service here ever. We sat at the bar and the bartender had her back to us the entire time. There was no explanation at the beginning about food and drinks automatically being on separate tabs, my request to merge the two were met with an attitude. From the multiple times of having to reach out to her to get her attention, her response always came with an attitude. The food here was good, but that doesn’t out way the horrible service we received. Our bill came to $76. I still tipped $14. Food was okay, I ordered a cheesesteak and fries, wasn’t bad. The service however was very disappointing. Server made us feel like an inconvenience, but wasn’t rude after the first impression. Bartender was rude, everytime I went to the indoor bar. I asked for a beer, she rolled her eyes. I ordered a Long Island the second time, she annouced how much she “loved making that drink” with sarcasm and annoyance.
