The IATSE Ballroom — Attraction in Philadelphia

I attended many events in the past three years at this venue. So for my big day, I felt this was a no brainer. Wrong! When we booked, we where told another party would have the other side of the venue but not to worry it wouldn’t interfere. Needless to say, my guest could barely hear over the loud rap music from the other party. We where specific about the color scheme. On the day of the event they gave us White tablecloths with yellow napkins. No Navy blue in sight. I sat in a chair to take a picture and it collapsed under me. Two weeks later my ankle is still swollen.Management never apologize or came to see if I was okay. They did however tell my concern guest they felt I tampered with the chair and or exaggerated my statement. As if on my big day in a full length gown, I’m carrying around tools for the sole purpose to destroy a banquet chair. If you are thinking of this place..... thing long and hard....

I've never heard of the IATSE Ballroom prior to a wedding I shot there in November and I've just got to say I was super impressed with how beautiful this venue is and how incredibly professional the staff were. The venue is tucked away in a little nook off the busy streets, the parking is ample and it's located to many near by amenities. The room was beautifully decorated, the staff was attentive and the spread of food was impressive. One thing I love is that the MD was always in the room and easy to find if we had any questions. He even approached my team just to make sure we were well hydrated and that everything was good with us. I had my daughter Great Gatsby theme sweet 16 here 9/3/22. And everything was beautiful. Everyone did a good job, and Michael made sure everything was taken care off. The theme went well with the ballroom. We had salmon, chicken parmigiana, roasted chicken, rost beef, pasta penne, stuffed shells, mashed potatoes, veggies, and salad. We enjoy the food, except the chicken parmigiana, the chicken was hard. And it was not it. But everything else was good.
