Philadelphia Food | Feels Like Stepping into a Vietnamese Canteen

If you're in the mood for delicious pho and don't want to worry about parking, this restaurant is a great choice. While they tend to be quite busy on weekends, their lot always has ample parking, which sets them apart from other pho places in South Philly. We highly recommend their medium pho #20 and boneless lemongrass BBQ - both are personal favorites. Whether you're looking for a hangover cure, a comforting winter meal, or a warming soup to help fight off a fever, you really can't go wrong with pho! I came with my son and they even provided special scissor to cut the pho noodles into smaller pieces.

I’ve been to this place before and usually enjoyed it, but today was really disappointing. I ordered a shrimp summer roll and a large Pho #21, and I found a dead fly in my pho. I barely ate it and completely lost my appetite. Even after showing them, they still charged me full price. At the very least, I shouldn’t have been charged for the pho. This was really upsetting and not what I expected from a place I used to trust. I’ve come here often whenever I crave pho. I truly hope they handle situations like this better in the future.

"I had an incredibly disappointing experience at this restaurant. My family and I dined there this morning, and after finishing our meal, the bill came to around $37. I promptly went to the front desk to settle the payment. I handed them $40 and explicitly mentioned, 'No change, keep the tip.'

To my surprise, as we were heading out, the waiter sprinted towards me, thrusting a check in my face, claiming the bill was actually $57. I was taken aback and calmly explained that I had already factored in a $2 tip. However, instead of understanding or offering clarification, the waiter proceeded to interrogate me about why I only left a $2 tip.

What infuriated me was the lack of communication between the front desk and the waitstaff. If there was an issue with the tip, why didn't they inform me when I made the payment? I felt humiliated and cornered, as if I had done something wrong. It was an embarrassing and disrespectful encounter that left a sour taste in my mouth.

The waiter's behavior was not only unprofessional but also downright rude. I firmly believe that customers should be treated with respect and courtesy, regardless of the situation. Their actions displayed a complete disregard for customer service.

Needless to say, I will never set foot in this restaurant again. I expect better treatment and transparency when dining out. There are plenty of other establishments that value their customers and provide a more pleasant experience. Save yourself the trouble and...

Awful. Completely went downhill, don’t know what happened. I used to eat here a lot growing up, friendly staff, solid food, chill place to eat on Oregon Ave after shopping at the attached market. First time going back in a few years, now staff is rude, broth is barely smoking in the WINTER, flavors are not good, the ā€œfresh chickenā€ is not fresh at all and comes with like three pieces of awful chicken. Portion is small for the price, waitstaff sit around talking, not paying attention to patrons, person on the register is extremely rude! Waiter who took our order didn’t write anything down, impressive! But got one of our orders wrong and walked away. Whatever, they ate it anyways even though it’s not what she wanted, but come on.

I really don’t need waitstaff to be pleasant or even nice but they really don’t care about how they treat you. I’m content with a hello or a thank you, especially when I’m at the register paying the bill! I regret even tipping 15% for service and food this poor.

There is nothing redeeming about this place other than location and the past when it was a decent spot. Waste of money, waste of time, waste of food. I’d rather go anywhere else on Washington Ave. I would not recommend, and will...

This is the 4th time I have been in this restaurant. Every time I went in to eat with my friends, the customers service is terrible. Firstly, when they will bring out the food, it seem like they about to throw it at you, giving you an attitude. Secondly, after you are done eating, me and my friends were about to pay, surprisingly, they ask you for tips every time which is really unprofessional and annoying. As the customer, we never received no drinks until we about to finish. Lastly the worst of all, when they bring food out, the quantity of the food are so little compared to my friend portion, even though, both of us order the large size, my bowl barely got anything, it seems like a I was having a bowl of soup instead of Pho. There is so many places all we of us went to , I have never seen any servers asking customers for tips and complaining about how much they tips. Everyone knows the fact that the tips are how the servers perform…..etc. and I will never recommend anyone to come here to eat and witness the terrible service that I’ve...
