Station Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Philadelphia

My friend and I arrived around 8PM. We were not greeted when we walked in, we asked the bartender at the front if we could sit anywhere and she said yes. We picked a table in the back near the pool table. No one acknowledged us for about 20 minutes. The very nice cook offered us a menu but no further instructions on how to order food. Finally we went to the bar and the waitress rolled her eyes upon us ordering. Her mood did not improve the entire evening. The first two drinks were soda and ice. The drinks became alcoholic after the third. The crowd was mixed and very interesting! The music was mixed..the vibe was chill and the food was absolutely amazing. The two star rating comes from the watered down drinks and rude bartender. There were multiple people with their own alcohol in their bags taking sips outside so this must be a common flaw with the bar and many people came prepared. Upon receiving the bill, a tip was already included so she didn't attempt to be nice-why would she have to? Needless to say she did not get an additional tip. The second reason for the two star review is because there is A CAT ON THE BAR..how unsanitary! I do plan on returning for some more yummy food from Ty and hopefully another, more pleasant bartender who serves alcohol rather than soda and ice will be there. I will make sure to pick a table again so the cat hair isn't flying...

Whether he's doing it just for the internet or it's his actual persona is something I have no desire to further understand at this point. The owner Lou has told me that he doesn't want "people like me" in his bar, along with some other vulgarities about his bowl movements being the only time he thinks about me, knowing nothing whatsoever of me other than my physical appearance. I believe his attack was motivated by my suggestion that they should avoid a petty online insult fest over a negative review, and that they would look better as an upstanding business if they stopped stooping so low while insisting that the people pointing out the owner and staff's behavior were lying. He took that opportunity to be direct and derogatory. I wouldn't recommend this establishment to my worst enemy, and will actively advise others in the area to avoid it at all costs. The terrible things the owner expresses about Muslims, Hindus and Mexicans were disturbing enough before he removed any doubt at all that they could be true. If my appearance were the determining factor, he's expressed to me directly how he feels about blacks as well. Avoid this...

I worked at this establishment for 2 weeks as a cook. My 3rd day I had to play bouncer and carry someone out cause no one else could handle the situation. My 2nd week I waited outside on the steps for 2 hours for someone to open the place up. After 2 hours the owner Lou asked me to go to the bartenders house. I walked 8 blocks and no one answered. After getting ready to go home she finally showed up 3 hours later. I told the owner a career job to support my family has finally presented itself and I have to take it. He decided to be petty and not give me the pay I worked hard for. Whether you want to work here or eat here Trust me Don't waste your money. The food is way beyond its shelf date and the owner doesn't care about anything but the money that he receives. There are two other bars on the same street that you would be more satisfied with and your money would...
