The paths are pretty decent for roller skates, and aside from that I've always loved a good walk or ride down Kelly drive. . An update... Be careful when it's crowded. Walkers don't pay attention to what's going on and Bikers, and other wheeled vehicles need to be very careful not to hit pedestrians or others wheeled vehicles.
I ride an electric longboard and a very arrogant biker who was not paying attention riding on the wrong side of the path after he tried to beat traffic crossing the street collided with me and then threaten to assault me even though he was clearly not following basic traffic rules "keep right pass left" . If I can convince a friend to come with me it would be fun to ride from Valley Forge to Philadelphia, spend a night or two at an Airbnb downtown, and take then train back as far as it goes the next time day. I think the last train stop is a couple miles from Valley Forge, but it would be a short ride to the car I wonder if overnight parking is allowed at Valley Forge. If the Chester Valley Trail's planned segment to the Schuylkill River is ever completed, I could...
