The Union Tap — Restaurant in Philadelphia

This is a whites only restaurants, multi-cultures beware! All this bar needs is a sign in front of the bar that says “ No coloreds allowed”! Avoid this place like the plague! If you’re black ,Asian, Latino or any other race and come into this bar to drop off a UPS or FED-EX orders or pick up for delivery expect racist customers to ask you questions like... “Are you ordering chicken wings”? , “Why are you here”? , “ We need to make sure the host hurry’s up and get you your stuff so you can get out of here” , “ Did you order enough boy”? Now let me stress the professionalism of the staff is good. The speed in making meals, dropping and signing for packages is great. The issue is not with the resturant, but the rude racist customers who are all of Caucasian decent. When you enter the bar it’s as if the music stops and everyone watches you from the second you speak until the very second you leave. What I’ve noticed is that women in the bar tend to grip their purses, the guys check to make sure their wallets and cell phone are close by them and they watch you like a hawk! Its very uncomfortable, unsettling and sad. You might just be there only a couple of minutes to do your job and get out and the entire time you will be harassed by the drunken racist customers. This is a deal breaker so this is why I say unless your white, this place isn’t right for you. Multi-cultures beware! Avoid the place...

Went on 9/13/25 to meet some friends. Everything was okay in the beginning. Our waitress kept bringing us drinks, brought out our appetizer, and was checking on us periodically since we were waiting on friends. It got to a point where we ended up ordering food because our friends ended up going to the wrong place. After placing our order, we never saw our waitress again. We waited 30+ minutes, no one was checking on us anymore and the food was no where to be seen. Eventually we just ended up closing out and that’s when we saw our food was never put in. Our waitress never came back over to our table which makes me assume this was done on purpose. We only stopped here for dinner since we were going out afterwards. It wasn’t worth asking them about the food once we realized it was taking so long because we would end up being late. No one said anything to us and even the way we were closed out by the staff was off. Overall, not great service. I only gave 2 stars for the food because the fries we actually received were good. The atmosphere seemed fun. Unfortunately, we won’t be back to really get the vibe....

What can be said about the union tap except for how the beers flow like that salmon down the capastrami they are equivocally artic cold and with pretty HoTT bartenders on this place I'm sold . The ice cube reinvention is a 200 year secret recipe that lends to the atmosphere and of a great place to drink many O beers . And the hot totty will have you singing loddy doddy we like to party and everyone in the place minds their life bizness and surely do not cause others trouble and quite honestly do not bother anybody . It's just a tight knit bunch of people that rock the mic and also their heavy liquor poured mix drinks are a wonderful afternoon delight and like I mentioned earlier people are so so nice and against violence and fight weather it's noontime as earlier mentioned or 12midnight don't fret there will never be a fight and if a bad word is heard your gone on sight. So I'm so happy to report that this google quide enjoyed his outing to this lavish establishment so go there holler out your beverage of choice and most of all...
