Food AWFUL, service AWESOME. Cozy atmosphere, well-trained staff. Attentive but not overbearing, just perfect. The pasta was a teeny bit too â al dente.â Not cooked enough to get rid of the starchy taste, and a bit too chewy. (Hey wait a minuteâŠhow does this happen if the pasta is âhomemade?â) The dish I ordered had lots of mushrooms (which I love) and they gave me heavy sauce, as I asked. I had to ask for salt, and there was a little bit of grit in this otherwise smooth sauce (always wash the pre-washed mushrooms againâŠitâs a rule.) The few bites of chicken I ate were the final straw. It was tough and stringy, and it had that âmicrowaved meatâ taste. I think someone may have had to thaw the chicken in a hurry to make my dish, because it was getting late. This is why I think the taste and texture involved a microwave oven. PLEASE: just ask your patrons to choose another dish, instead of rushing one and ruining it. I was starving. I tried to pick at the pasta a little more but I could not get past the grit in the sauce. Again, a lovely, well-trained server and cozy atmosphere. But I will not order food here again. Oh, the calamari was âmeh.â Sauce was not very good. Perhaps offer a traditional marinara as an option? It was perfectly crispy and browned, but pretty rubbery, which usually means over-cooked or...

I had the absolute pleasure of dining at American Way Pasta this past Friday night, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. From start to finish, everything about the evening was exceptional.
A special shoutout to Jose Chavez, who went above and beyond to make our visit memorable. He kindly gave us some behind-the-scenes insight into the kitchen, staff techniques, and the premium ingredients that elevate their dishes. His passion for the craft truly shines through in the dining experience.
For our main course, we enjoyed the Cacio e Pepe, and it was nothing short of perfectionâcreamy, flavorful, and expertly prepared. Paired with a couple of glasses of red wine, it was an indulgence Iâll be dreaming about for a long time. We finished the meal with an incredible dessert, which was the perfect sweet ending to an already amazing evening.
I also couldnât help but notice the mouthwatering filet mignon being served to another table. Itâs safe to say Iâll be coming back soon to try that next!
The food, the ambiance, and the impeccable service make American Way Pasta a must-visit. If youâre looking for a culinary experience that will leave a lasting impression, this is the place to be. Highly...
Read moreCouldnât wait to return to AWP for our 2nd dining experience this evening! The staff, the food, the ambiance did not disappoint! My daughter & I were warmly welcomed by Wendy, the host with her bright and engaging smile. We were quickly escorted to a cozy & comfortable table and thrilled to see that this amazing restaurant seems to be doing well. Our friendly waitress Belle also seemed to remember us from our previous visit, which made my daughter feel wonderful! In this day & age of âhustle and bustleâ, it is the little things in life that make people feel good- and because of this, in addition to the most delicious, freshly made pasta and incredible mixtures of spices and love thrown into their dishes- we have become devoted fans and customers! The asparagus soup was exceptional; Cacio e Pepe a master class act, prepared tableside by Owner- Chef Chavez (who has THE most genuinely proud smile lighting up his face); Rigatoni Italian sausage was spectacular; and to top it off, rounding out our meal (and grateful for our 2nd stomach which always seems to have room for dessert) Tiramisu ! We are so fortunate to have this talented team open their restaurant in Ahwatukee! Welcome and we canât wait to...
