What a great meal! I was in Phoenix for a youth conference and on my way back to Cali I knew I had to stop here. The name of the place caught my eye and the food pics drew me in deeper. After reading the reviews I was sold.
We got their mid morning and we're seated right away. The place filled up after us so I'm glad we got there when we did. Vanessa, our server, was so kind answering all my foodie questions. She gave me her recommendations and gave me her thoughts on several other dishes I was curious about. In the end I couldn't decide and I went with 4 dishes since I live out of state.
Don't worry, my friend lives locally and has a large family. I sent home all the leftovers with him. He got the Hungover Breakfast burger. Ridiculously big and tasty. He grabbed it with onion rings and i couldn't be happier with his decision. I ordered the Chilaquiles, Carnitas Hash Bowl, Brisket Benedict, and the Crazy Clucker. And as a bonus, I also asked for one birria taco since I had both types of potatoes on other plates. Vanessa said she would check if there would be an upcharge on that but she could make it happen. I told her whatever she has to do I don't mind.
Chilaquiles was just ok. I go to Mexico a lot and get it made fresh by locals so I'm a little biased. The rest of it was so satisfying though. Carnitas Hash had an amazing sauce on top of the eggs. I don't know what it was but I would drink it. It gave a good flavor of spice to the dish without being spicy. The smoked brisket benedict was masterful. The meat, the flavor combination, and the way the eggs yolk drizzled over the whole thing when I popped it was magnificent. The lone birria taco was killer. I wish I had a plate of those. Super happy they let me substitute that as a side. And my absolute favorite was the Crazy Clucker. I was not expecting it to be so good since I don't really like biscuits. I also that it would be more like chicken and waffles but it came put together as a sandwich. I don't remember reading egg and cheese in the middle of it, but when I cut it in half I was so happy to see it in there. They perfectly fried chicken skinless thighs in the most wonderful batter. They dipped the bacon in that batter as well and fried it up. Every bite made me dance and smile. I would drive/fly back for that sandwich.
Decor was great. The barstools had me cracking up. We sat at a table so I didn't get a special chair. I would love to try their breakfast burrito and other benedicts. So much good stuff on the menu. I'm sure they have something for everyone. If you're a local or a passer by, make the stop and you...
Read moreAfter flying into Phoenix a few weeks ago, my first stop upon arrival was Brunch Snob. I’d never been here before, but my sister had seen posts about it online & it was so cute, we just had to check it out!
We went on a late Sunday Morning, it was about a 40-45 minute wait to be seated. They had a couple seats available while waiting. The place was VERY busy, which could possibly be due to still being a relatively new location/restaurant, I’m not sure. The atmosphere was still great nonetheless, I loved the aesthetic of the place. Our waitress was absolutely amazing! Despite how incredibly bush the place was, she still made sure to check on us throughout our entire time there, and always did so with a friendly demeanor. I ordered the Cinnamon Roll French Toast, which was honestly 1 of the best things I’ve ever had for breakfast…SO delicious!
We had finished up our meals & paid our bill. We were planning to leave shortly after but wanted to finish our drinks first. While working on finishing our drinks, a waitress (different from the 1 we had for our meal), told us that a large group of people had arrived. She told us that she had to take our table to combine it with some other ones, so that this group had a place to sit. She told us we could move to the bar & could get a drink of our choice on the house. We quickly found out that the bar was completely full. She then told us we could sit at an open table that happened to be right next to where we were standing. But then another waiter came and moved that table to join the other tables for the large group. At this point we quietly decided we would just leave. My sister went to use the restroom & I waited by the exit. While waiting by the exit, Celine (who I think was either the owner or manager) approached me & kindly apologized for the whole situation & insisted on giving my sister & I each a coupon for a free entree. I sincerely appreciate how genuinely kind she was, as well as her generous offer. I’d definitely go back next...
Read moreThe front door situation threw us off - it was like a big black door that had no signage around it. If it weren't for the people eating outside on the patio, I wouldn't have known where to enter at.
Anyway, it was a pretty small, but cute place; most of the tables were full yet there was no wait for us (so loved that).
Since oatmeal is basically my reason for living, I like to get oatmeal whenever I go to brunch just so I can see which place has the best oatmeal in the valley. However, looking at the description of the oats for this place, I wasn't too excited ordering that dish, so I went with the greek yogurt parfait because it had granola and fruit included in the price. The bestie ordered the veg out bennie cause she loves anything eggs benedict and the other options all had some kind of meat in them (she's vegetarian).
The food came out quick enough and my parfait was in a cute little glass mug that made mixing my protein powder (that I always keep a scoop of in my purse ready for brunch LOL) really easy because it was all contained in one place haha. Anyway, I'm glad I added the chocolate protein powder because the yogurt (I know it's greek yogurt so I was ready for that potent greek yogurt taste) was not very flavorful and you would never want to eat it without the berries and granola in there. I mean, it kept me satisfied for a couple hours after eating it, and the granola was really the thing that made the dish. I just wish for $8 that there were more toppings. That's also why I didn't order the oats because not only was adding fruit adding more money on to the total, but you only got like some brown sugar and almonds for the oatmeal (boring if you ask me).
The bestie wasn't too crazy about her meal either. She said the potatoes weren't as crispy as she wanted. Overall, she said it was good but nothing great.
However, the owner was super nice and went around to each table asking how the food was. It's always nice seeing the owner that passionate about the feedback...
