This has been my favorite go to place for my nails and pedicures over the past 2 1/2 years and I'd easily give the 5 stars. Every couple of weeks I get my acrylic nail fill here w/regular polish at $25. I always tip well and appreciate the service. Once a month I get the best pedicure they offer at $55, it's amazing! Again, I tip well and leave happy. The owner is amazing and maintains a high level up of business quality through his employees and is kind to his clients. The atmosphere is nice, professional and I've been truly happy there.
In March this year, I made nail and pedicure appointments 2 weeks in advance for a Mother/daughter to enjoy together as it was the day before her wedding. We arrived 10 minutes before our appointment and our appointments were not on their books. Needless to say I was so upset because it was a very special occasion and really couldn't be rescheduled. The owner was at the front desk that day and he scrambled to squeeze us in and make things right which I greatly appreciated. I spent over $235 there that day between nails, best pedicures and tips for 4 people. The next time I went in for my nail fill, the alternate front desk lady learned of what occurred and as an apology, didn't charge me for my $25 service that day. I sure appreciated the kindness as it was sincere and gave her a hug.
Recently, my nail tech convinced me to start doing gel polish with my nail fill so I could transition away from acrylic nails. That day I paid $110 for pedicure, nail fill w/gel + $15 as a tip.
The next time I had the same services and paid $95 + $12 as a tip.
This evening I had my acrylic nail fill with gel polish and it was $25, +$13 for gel polish, +$5 for ? that totaled $43. When I went to pay, I asked what the extra $5 was for because my nail said it would be $38 today. The front desk lady told because the nail tech made my nails shorter. This was not a true statement as my nail length is and has been the exact same style and length since going there for the last 2 1/2 years. They shape my nail to remove the length grown, hence the purpose of a fill. I tried discussing it more in depth to better understand and the front lady continued to try and justify this extra cost. I am always happy to pay for services rendered and feel I leave a good but for me this extra $5 was not justified. She finally said oh you're a long time and good paying customer then removed the extra $5 when I said I am not coming back and will find a new salon. Well...I don't know that I'll go back again. I am only adding 2 stars today. There are so many salons and maybe it's time to go elsewhere. I just feel sad inside because it was my favorite place to escape for...
Read moreI went into Biagio about 6 months ago and had an 7/10 experience with a VIP pedicure- good overall service but sloppy gel paint job.
Since then I've attempted 3 more appointments.
I went with my mom when she came into town- called 3 days ahead for appointments, indicated both were VIP gel pedicures and showed up on time. They stated they didn't have time for the VIP (#7) but they could do a regular pedicure with gel. We obviously were already there so we just took it. Disappointed that we requested the full services and they were not good at time management. The nail tech was also in a hurry so instead of taking my old gel off, she said she'd file it down and and layer the new color.
I went in with my sister, booked the appointment the day before for VIP pedicures with gel. We showed up and they told us they didn't have time for the full service again. The nail tech started taking my gel off and very rudely made a remark asking how many layers of help I had on. When I continued to tell her that a BIAGIO nail tech didn't take it all off the time before, due to time, she was even ruder, asked me to point the tech out, and when I did, she claimed she had never seen me before. Calling a client a liar is one thing, but asking me point out the employee is quite rude as well. It ended up taking her so much time to take the gel off that my sister was already done, and I ended up getting a clear coat on side they again, didn't have time.
My boyfriend talked me into giving them another chance. We called this morning to request appointments for VIP pedicures again- one with gel. We showed up, sit in our seats, and they gave us a menu asking what service we wanted. We told them we booked the VIP package. Ask we sat and started soaking our feet the, the "manager" came over and told us they couldn't offer the VIP because they didn't have time. When I told her that we just called and specifically booked that package, she argued with me and called me a liar stating she was the one who spoke to me this morning.
We got up and left. I won't be called a liar, and I cannot believe the disrespect of this place. They really need to get their time management skills together, and space appointments out properly. Outside of them being unfriendly and unprofessional, they also only accept cash tips which is inconvenient given the amount of traffic they get in. I will NEVER go back, and I'll be leaving reviews on every site possible. I would not recommend this place to anyone. I don't know how they have 4-5 star reviews, I'd give them a 0...
Read moreThe atmosphere is beautiful. I was referred by someone and I had really high expectations. I thought I was going to have a really good experience but I didn't. My nail tech was Lisa. I asked for ombre nails on March 5th. They were horrible. They were not ombre at all. The owner recognized that they were not right and invited me back the next day to have Lisa fix them. I paid $140+ tip. I came back the next day ( now my gas and time). Lisa took off that set she did and re did the set. They were uneven and the next day while putting on my pants a nail broke. I went back the next day again and had another tech repair the broken nail. The nail tech kept complaining that I'm making her lose money for fixing Lisa's mistake. She kept telling me how Lisa used the wrong nails and should've used a certain nail. First of all I am not a nail tech I'm just a paying customer. How would I know the professional nail tech used the wrong nail tips? Also, how would I know she was losing money? I didn't ask her to fix my nails. The owner did. So why was she taking it out on me making me feel like I was I. the wrong? I thought that was rude and very unprofessional. I tipped her for the repair and her time and went home. The next day I was writing and another nail broke. I went back again for the fourth day and the owner tells me this is the last time she will fix for me. The owner treated me as if it was my fault the nails broke. I am just a paying customer. The nails were never right considering I paid $140+ tip, re tip for the repairs, and my time and gas I wasted. The owner made me feel like I was just looking for free services when I just wanted my nails done right and I wanted what I paid for. I would not recommend going there. The owner will treat you like it's your fault the nails don't come out right. I don't mind paying as you can see I paid almost $200 when it was all said and done wasting my time and money. The owner made me feel bad for coming back and that's why I'll never go back or recommend anybody to go there. I was going to give them another chance but the way the owner and Tanya the nail tech who repaired my nails made me feel about fixing the mistake of another tech made me never waste another dime or time. I suggest you don't either! Go to another nail shop where your money matters. I hate I even went there in the first place.
Thanks...
