Pie Snob Uptown — Restaurant in Phoenix

I needed a pie last minute for my boyfriend's birthday on a Sunday and luckily Pie Snob was open, despite most bakeries in the valley being either closed or cake/pastry places- the girl working the counter was an absolute sweetheart and super helpful from the moment I walked in. I came in wanting a pecan pie, and although they did have them in stock, I thought I would try buying the chocolate pecan pie instead. My boyfriend, who was super grateful, but also adamant that regular pecan pie was his favorite, is now requesting we never buy a pie again unless it's a Pie Snob chocolate pecan pie.

As a side note, I've never been a huge fan of pecan pies, I always found the fillings to be too sweet and sugary and felt they lacked substance. Pie Snob completely changed my mind. I realized I was just having the wrong pies. The chocolate pecan pie is amazing, it's loaded up with whole pecans that aren't soggy and stayed crunchy. The filling is sweet, but has flavor instead of just tasting like sugar and the sweetness is complimented by slightly bitter chocolate chips that perfectly offset the filling. Not to mention the delicious buttery pie crust.

10/10 I absolutely recommend Pie Snob to any Pie buyer. You're going to pay more than you would at a grocery store, but it is completely worth it for...

I ordered a pie on Postmates, and it was cancelled because the “merchant is temporarily unable to accept credit cards”. When I called they said they are able to accept credit cards, but only had two kinds available. Had the information been honest I would’ve selected a different pie.Given the lack of effort put into the customer service, I can only assume that translates into the quality of their pies. This isn’t the first time it happened so the best I can say is stay away.

EDIT: I was very disappointed to hear the owners response and their lack of offering a solution, and then denying their responsibility in their incompetence. They have full and complete control over how they’re marketed over the Postmates app and made a conscious decision to be on it. It is very clear that they cannot handle it. And when I called the actual location and spoke to a person DIRECTLY the poor service did continue. This is extremely poor service and it was double down with a response that shows their lack of customer service which probably does translate to the quality of their pies. Again stay away. I ordered a pie days in advance for father's day, when I picked it up at my scheduled time, it wasn't finished, they handed it to me without the whipped topping g on it, the new, young girl at the register was very apologetic and said she would remake it, which surprised me because I know it takes quit some time to remake a banana cream pie, so I asked how long, since I was to meet my dad in 15 minutes from then to give him his pie. And a woman came around d the corner, got very sassy with me, pointed her finger in my face and told me I need to be patient, that they have new people there, I was shocked, I was embarrassed, i was upset that i had given theae people a hefty price for a pie that was much smaller than when i last ordered from there, and worse, it wasn't even finished, the fact that the woman yelled at me like I was a child was so unsettling to me, when I asked her name, she said my name is Sherry, and you can let them know I'm the bakery manager!! So, with all this said , I would never, ever order from this business again!!! Beware, don't give these people your hard earned money, only ro be treated...
