Casa De Don Pancho — Restaurant in Phoenix

I lived close to here for an embarrassing number of years without ever noticing it. That was a total food crime. This was my fourth time eating since I discovered it recently and every meal has been great. My go-to dish is the green chili burrito, enchilada style with green sauce and I think theirs is the best I've had. The flavor they pack into that green sauce is fantastic. I've also had most of their desserts and never been disappointed. The rice pudding was great and while the strawberries and cream seem simple it was delicious. I have yet to try their flan but only because they didn't have any to sell 3 or the 4 times I've been there and I didn't have the spare calories for a dessert last night. My brother came into town last night and I drove straight from the airport here to have him try it. He liked it so much we will likely be going back today and probably tomorrow since he likes to pack in as much Mexican food as he can before flying back to the east coast where he can't get good Mexican food. See? Inexpensive and delicious, it was a crime not to have discovered...

I can't believe that I've never been to this place. You would never guess what it looks like inside from the outside!! It has the most excellent design inside. It's really tiny inside... But they have designed it like a big Mexican restaurant. Excellent atmosphere. And it doesn't feel cramped. They made this tiny little spot feel like a big Mexican restaurant. They do actually wait on you also. I know that's not common anymore in most little places. The food is great. They have a number of salsas which is very important to me!!! Good family vibe. I'd recommend this to anybody who'd like a nice little sit-down meal in a cool Mexican designed restaurant. The prices are a bit steeper than the little Mexican restaurants I frequent. But they do have a right to charge more for such an adorable setting. So that's the only reason it's not five stars, because poor people can't afford to eat there as often as they'd...

I just moved here and I’ve tried multiple restaurants to find that taste and let me tell you guys, it’s here at this place! I’ve eaten here every day for the past 4 days trying different items on the menu. The Beef Caldo is delicious and the meat was so tender and flavorful, but the Asada tacos are my favorite because I can eat on the go. I also tried the Asado Burrito which was a great choice along with the pork Carnitas which was my least favorite and the Al Pastor was pretty good too.
