Taco Samich 4 — Restaurant in Phoenix

Got change for a $5 bill and recieved multiple counterfeit bills, upon attempting to notify someone I was ignored. So I stood in line preventing any more orders being taken until I was acknowledged and expressed the bills I was just handed were fake to which I was responded 'No they aren't'. Not having the patience to argue the matter I simply requested to receive quarters for each of the fake bills I just had expressed were unacceptable to receive as change. The cashier granted my request and promptly got the manager pointing at me and explaining in Spanish what transpired, after which the manager approached me and said that if I didn't leave the cops would be called. When I asked why she said because I used counterfeit bills to pay for my order - (watered down horchata I purchased before requesting change.)* I was genuinely pressed for time, or I would've gladly awaited the police and reported the establishment for faulty practices.

*The horchata was overpriced to begin with, but I was in a hurry as mentioned and didn't have time to go elsewhere. I reluctantly ordered the largest size with no ice, several orders placed after mine including drink orders were made and served as I stood patiently at the counter. After 3 or so customers I was asked what I wanted to which I responded my drink I had yet to receive. Unaware the drink being made in front of me was mine (since so many had been served before me) I watched as a horchata was made and then say down 4ft away from where I stood at the counter. The cashier proceeded to take orders after and didn't speak to me all the while. Once she had finished interacting with the last of the people in line, I asked if the drink on the counter was mine and told yes. I apologized and expressed I was unaware it was for me otherwise I would've spoken up earlier as I saw it was made with ice and I ordered mine without. I was told that I was wrong and did not ask for no ice, at which point I noticed someone walk by with a bigger cup. I responded to her by sliding my receipt across the counter and repeating the drink order being a 'Lg Horchata w/ No Ice'. She poured what had sat in the medium sized cup for the time this all took back into the dispenser for the horchata angrily and then finally made the drink correctly, but with the attitude she had developed spilling drink all over the floor, counter and my cup. This all before I requested change and had the above detailed experience. Disappointing to say the least, I was referred here by a friend who exclaimed this was the greatest little known spot - turns out this spot is likely only still open for business due to being so...

This is Adriber I will always provide the best and honest reviews. My experience at this location was great. The tacos are one of the best I have had in a long time. I ordered tacos Del Pastor, Lengua, Cabeza. Just FYI eat the tacos that are slowly grill outside. They are the best. Because they are slowly cooked the meat develops a soft and juicy flavor. Once ready just add some cilantro, onion, grill onions, hint of salt and Limon. Humm, Humm your are ready to go. I'm over 6 ft tall 200+ lbs and was full after my 6th taco and for $1 each that's a deal. Best time to visit Friday, Saturday, Sunday after 630 pm. Since, that the time the restaurant will grill the meat outside. Customer service was okay they did warm great us but didn't really smile. However, didn't really grade them on this since they were busy. As a critic I believe that we have to see the full picture. Went through Drive thru and they totally messed up my order and gave me someone else food. When I went straight back to get it replaced for my correct order. The guy wanted to act dumb and acted like he didn’t know any English to deal with the situation. He was very rude and kept dismissing me while I was trying to communicate with him. Also, had the cook and waitress to back him up being rude and ignoring the fact that I was standing there trying to get my correct order they messed up on their End. On top of it ,had 3 customers speak on his behalf. But when he really got upset bcuz he didn’t want to deal with me, HE wanted to blurt out “ENGLISH” (Come back tomorrow when the lady will be here that took your order) 🤔🫡 When all of the situation they were making it to be , could have easily been prevented by just re making my order and sending me on my way. Instead I walked away with no food. When I had already paid for it, the first time I ordered.
