Visiting AZ and had a great brunch experience here after church.
Atmosphere: 10/10 Old diner feel, same experience as dennys or ihop. Clean and well maintained.
Service: 10/10 Everything was fairly prompt and everyone was very kind and took great care of patrons. It was very busy so nothing was right away, but still done in a timely manner. I couldn’t ask for kinder servers and staff, and servers were very knowledgeable of the menu and very patient with this new comer.
Food: 10/10 My friend and I enjoyed our fishes immensely. My friend ordered her favorite: biscuits and gravy, which she loved. I ordered: meat lovers and it was so good! Way better than Denny’s since the bacon was real (not microwaveable) and everything was cooked to perfection. The meat was of great quality. The “house fries” were hash browns basically, just as the server promised, but was only good after I added salt, pepper and ketchup, to which I inhaled it whole. The mimosas (cranberry and the pineapple orange) were the perfect blend of alcohol to juice and were not overly sweet. The serving size was not enough to say generous but definitely received the worth of the money you spend to order one.
Over all I was very pleased I brought my friend here to catch up. Great food, extraordinary service and we had a great time. Will definitely return in the future during another trip to AZ.
Ps. I was starving after church so I inhaled my food and didn’t take pics 😅 no perfect plating, but still comes to your table looking amazing and basically looks the same as the pics...
Read moreWe have visited The Cracked Egg several times and we really enjoy the food and experience here. Everything is well cooked and I love the fact that all of the food is organic and locally sourced as much as possible. The menu is breakfast heavy but does have lunch offerings as well. So far everything we’ve tried has been delicious. we have tried griddles, pancakes, French toast, and their chicken fried steak. The eggs are always cooked perfectly and they do have very good home fries. The home fries are not heavily seasoned, but the other ingredients in the griddles and add flavor without the potatoes needing to be overly seasoned. The pancakes are huge and fluffy and taste so good! The French toast is thick and crispy in the outside fluffy in the middle with fresh, tasty toppings. The service is very good, even when it’s busy. Our servers are very attentive and always keep the drinks full. They are very busy for lunch so you may have to park at one of the businesses next-door if you can’t find parking in their parking lot. We have visited for breakfast time and late lunch and both of those times of the day in the restaurant were not incredibly busy, but the lunch hour...
Read moreAfter reading the reviews about how friendly the place was, I really excited to try it. However, I was disappointed that the waitress wasn't friendly or enthusiastic. She was just bland and not very attentive at all. She said she was new in town, maybe friendliness will come with time. They definitely have very large portions!! The price reflected that though. We paid over $30 for two breakfasts with coffee and 1 juice. We could have fed 4 people with the amount of food there was though. We took home a lot of leftovers. Unfortunately, the food didn't seem that healthy. I would rather pay that amount of money to eat at First Watch or a similar restaurant that focuses on organic, whole grain, healthy fats, etc. My daughter just got married and moved to this area. After reading the good reviews, I was hoping maybe we could start a tradition of the whole family meeting there for Sunday breakfast, but I just wasn't that impressed. We might come back sometime, it was an OK place, but we are definitely not going to make it a weekly tradition, like I...
