Cookin' On Wood is an absolute treasure! I stopped in for the lunch special and was blown away by the BBQ Pulled Pork sandwich. The tender, smoky pork was packed with flavor, perfectly complemented by the tangy coleslaw. And let me tell you, the side of beans is a MUST. Fantastic! On my first visit, it was a Tuesday. The daily special was their avocado, bacon, cheese burger with chips for $4.50. The waitress was perfect: polite, considerate, and not overly so. She brought me bottled water for free. They substitute potato salad for chips at no extra charge. To nit-pic, the bacon on the burger was thin, but there was plenty of avocado slices! I walked out of there happy, full, and was charged less than five bucks. Amazing! The only way they could improve would be to use non-disposable silverware and plates. I'll be back to try...

If I could leave a no star review I would! I went here and the woman at the register tried to BROWN SHAME me in front of some WHITE customers all over some condiments and 2 cents she thought I shorted. She followed me out the store then told me that she refused service after I called her out... I wasn't going back as I saw her intent to sha.e me as an insult to my money.
