Ordered the monte cristo and the chicken veggie crepe as well as an everything bagel with cream cheese. If you had told me the crepe was actually a tortilla picked up at the nearby grocery store I would have believed you. Serious lack of flavor and overall poor execution. The everything bagel as well seemed to be something picked up in bulk from the nearby grocery store, toasted, and tossed in a bag with cream cheese for an overpriced $4.25. I would not recommend coming here. Alternatively, one could go to the Trader Joes nearby and avoid what feels like the middleman that is Cupz N' Crepes.
On top of that, looking at the reviews there seems to be an alarming number of people complaining that the woman working the register and as the waitstaff is rude and is racist towards guests. Checking with some other people I know that live in the Ahwatukee area, apparently this is fairly well known and people are just...ok with it. Seeing these complaints ranging several years back it seems the woman in question is either the owner or a co-owner of the business. I came in an hour before they closed and thought her being curt was simply someone that wanted to get home after a day of work, but it seems there is something else going on there. While this was a 2-3 star experience overall, seeing the persistent theme of rudeness and racism over several years in the reviews brings this down to a 1 star...
Read moreI wish I could rate this with negative stars. After many unsatisfactory experiences, the most recent trip was the worst. Upon entrance my male friend and I waited for 5 minutes while the staff stared at us before being greeted. My MALE FRIEND and I were greeted by saying "just the two of you LADIES" and she did not even apologize after my friend kindly joked that he was a guy. We proceeded to tell her we had an extra guest joining us and the waitress had me set up my own table and add the chairs on. We sat for 15-20 minutes without having a server greet our table or even get us water. After we finally ordered our drinks it took another 15 minutes to get water and a couple coffees. We proceeded to wait ANOTHER 15 minutes for food. We ate for about 20 minutes and then sat for an extra 30 minutes and never had anyone come back to the table to give us a check, we ended up leaving a few bills on the table and left. We will NEVER be returning. The waitress kept sneezing into her hands and had dirt under nails and didn't wash her hands ONE TIME. She also threw the rolls of silver ware onto the table, she literally tossed it at us. The server gave us constant attitude and nasty looks. My two friends and I all work in the restaurant business and were absolutely appalled by the service...
Read moreTL;DR: Tasty and very affordable crepes and Italian sodas, but super unfriendly staff. If good customer service isn't important to you, then I recommend it.
Here's my experience: I felt extremely unwelcomed by the two servers. Both of them acknowledged me by staring. They said nothing until I asked if I could order to go. They didn't give me a menu so I had to wait for them to finish helping someone else before I could ask. When I got to the register, one asked me what I'm ordering. I asked her for a menu, and she handed me one and said "Oh, when you said you were ordering to go I thought you already knew what you wanted... we could've gotten this going." Well excuse me, sorry for being an inconvenience to you?! I didn't wait too long for my food, but as I was leaving, I said thank you and have a nice day... nothing. What's interesting is that they were nice to other customers... seems like they're selective with who they treat well. I've been here once before with some friends and we had issues with the same staff too, but we thought it was a one-time thing. My advice to those two servers: leave your attitude and your microaggressions at home please. As much as I enjoy their crepes, I'm just going to find another place that serves crepes just as well but with a friendly...
