Today was one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever received in my life. As a repeat customer, one would expect to receive better service and familiarity for loyal patronage....not the case for me. I walked into the small restaurant and stood in the middle of the room for 5 minutes and was never greeted or offered a seat despite the 2 waitresses passing me several times. I then took a few steps to stand near the bar beside the sushi chef. He never looked up to acknowledge me. Another customer near me at the bar waved her hand to stop the waitress within 2 feet of me and asked her for their bill. The waitress looked right past me and said yes and then went off to go and print their bill and continued to leave me there standing and waiting to be offered a table.
After I got frustrated enough and I turned to leave and the sushi chef yelled behind me, “goodbye and thanks for coming”. At that point I asked, are you not serving me today? I was told to have a seat at the bar, which I refused due to my leg injury. Then I was told to have a seat and he nodded towards an empty table. After receiving such horrible customer service, my appetite was completely gone. So I left. And despite the fact that I once went to this restaurant WEEKLY as a place to unwind...I will NEVER go to Echo Sushi again. I did not like the way I was ignored and I do not understand why they would treat a loyal...

Waited for more than 20 minutes before being greeted by the waitress, where she quickly took our order, and then another 15 before finally leaving because we hadn't even gotten our waters yet. I was a waitress for 11 years and I understand being busy, but I have never experienced sitting in a restaurant while the waitress makes 2, 3 and 4 rounds to her other tables, including to help people that had just walked in, while sitting there waiting over half hour for water. Absolutely unacceptable. I cant speak to the quality of the food because we weren't able to try it, which is unfortunate because we just moved to the area and we are huge sushi lovers, and definitely would have been weekly repeat clients if we had not been treated so poorly. We went to another restaurant down the road and were greated and drink order taken within 60 seconds, drinks came out and food order taken...
Read moreOverall bad experience. Waiter was very inexperienced and almost spilled a bowl of tempura udon on my wife luckily missing hitting her. Green tea took very long to steep as the water was not hot enough. The mackerel sashimi was not a prime cut and came sandwiched and soaking in lemons defeating the purpose of sashimi. When the chef/worker came over to the table after telling the waiter the mackerel was ok he did not announce who he was and just stated he “made” it today like I am unaware it is just thawed flash frozen fish besides the cuts not being prime for sashimi. The jjamppong soup base had no flavor and was just spicy water in addition to overcooked squid and shrimp still in the shell. The muscles were cooked right. The only thing good was the food presentation and my wife’s shrimp tempura soup base, however the shrimp tempura was small and was mainly breading. I hope they start to focus on quality...
