Update
So I had to update this review after talking to Jeremy and Cynthia. First guys I need to let you know that if you were turned off by Desert Donuts during the Steve era it's safe please go back the Carlton asks you. If you've been around since the OG desert Donuts. They have changed hands since that time. As an OG desert Donuts customer I can tell you the new owners have my blessing. I was also not a fan of Steve. Please know that they're not Steve. Jeremy and Cynthia are smart enough to realize they have a good thing and there's no reason to change a good thing. There's no reason to change these Donuts. Ice cream was introduced originally by the OGs. But they've stepped it up a notch. I have had the Carlton as a milkshake. I thought my donut was fancy my milkshakes even fancier. Should have had it as a Sunday. I think they realized something Steve didn't. They have a good thing on their hands and there's no reason to mess with it. There may be people screaming for gluten-free but they know there's more of us who want all the gluten. I'll take your gluten they're gluten and anybody else's gluten who doesn't want it. But just someone's screaming what about gluten free they have the sense to know they might lose an OG if they cater to the vocal minority, it isn't enough to to ignore their customers like gluten. The same people screaming for gluten-free have been around since the beginning. Since they're gluten intolerant we really never see them. When I had a shellfish allergy I didn't go to Red lobster. If I had a gluten allergy I wouldn't go somewhere with gluten. But hey milkshakes are gluten free. It depends on you and what you put in your milkshake so they still have something for everybody. I want to try the extreme Elvis as a milkshake. But know that if you've ever had a Carlton that the Carlton gives them their full blessing. Keep up the great work guys thank you for keeping the OG staffers too that you kept. She knows my donut better than anyone. They have always been accommodating with allergy concerns as far as I remember and they always had staff change out uniforms and gloves if someone came in with an allergy preference so they can accommodate you but I'm sorry you're in the wrong place if you want gluten-free Donuts. Lol.
They Named a Donut after me! if you check my previous review I suggested you try the Apple pie with Bacon caramel and Pecans. Well we tweeked it and "the Carlton" was born yes the description has a typo but they left it cause all my friends razz me about it! Love, Love, Love, this place, the staff, and the donuts. Have invented two donuts for you to try! I give you the Extreme Elvis Tm. : Banana frosting, chopped peanuts, Peanut butter...
Read moreYES, YES, everything is yes!!! Ok, let me Clairafiy more. It might seem like another dounct shop, but it is not. It is the most unique donut shop around. I travel a lot around the U.S. and have been to many dounct shops or places that sell douncts. This place beats Duncan dounts by light years. When you go in, it is already bright and cheerful, with a family loving atmosphere. The employees are very kind and cheerful. They greet you with a warm welcome and tell you about the shop if you are new. They have many types of drinks, with coffee, milkshakes, and more. Their douncts are amazing, their are many different choices or you can MAKE your own! If you don't want drinks or douncts, they also have pies and ice cream. My mom and I got coffee and 3 different douncts. I got the Mint Mountain coffee, super delicious, and very chocolaty. My mom got a Carmel coffee drink that is smooth and tasty. The 3 douncts we bought were pecan pie, Raspberry cheesecake, and Drizzle carmal apple pie. My mom loved the apple pie dounct and I thought the pecan and Rasberry cheesecake were amazing and delicious. (P.S these douncts fill you up). After I ate my first douncts, I was full. Even my mom was full and we are big on sugar. Desert Dounts is a place to stop and travel to for tasty treats. Also their shop is very clean. Oh one more thing, they make them Hot and Ready when you order the douncts, not like other places where it just sitting out getting old and...
Read moreThe donuts tasted good, but we were really disappointed because the menu did not match what we received. We ordered the bacon blast and received just sprinkles of bacon when the menu advertised bacon fully covering the donut. Unfortunately, we will not return as the money spent is not worth what we received. Please don't bother responding to this review if all you're going to do is give a snarky comment as you did in the other reviews. It's very unprofessional.
Update to snarky unprofessional owner: Agenda? Ok lmao. I find it hilarious that you asked me if I rate fast food restaurants 2 stars for not producing a product that looks like the menu. I dont feel the need to rate them because I already know what Im getting. You portray to have a gourmet donut shop charging $3 to $4 per donut. YES! I absolutely expect it to look like the menu!!!! Because of your continued nasty attitude towards your paying customers, I WILL share your response with everyone I know, including Joel Hansen who gave you a huge advertisement by putting this business on his food challenge channel. That way his subscribers and followers (over 1 million) can also see how you respond to paying customers. Im not the only one who's comment you reacted to so ridiculously, Im jst the one that isnt going to let you get away with it. As well, I'm going to ask everyone who was with me today to add a review. Have...
