I’m writing to express my concern about a poor customer service experience I had this morning at your drive-thru.
This morning I visited your drive-thru to order a Blue Raspberry Misty Slush for my son. When I arrived at the window, The woman handed a Blue Raspberry Freeze instead. I politely informed the employee that this was not what I had ordered. However, instead of helping to resolve the issue, she insisted repeatedly that it was what I had asked for and that I should “pay attention to my order.” Her tone was rude and argumentative, which made the interaction unnecessarily unpleasant.
Despite already paying, I told her I was fine with paying again if needed, and asked if I could get the Misty Slush. She then went inside and came back to say the Misty machine wasn’t working.
While I understand that mistakes happen but the way this situation was handled was disappointing. A simple apology or willingness to help would have gone a long way. Instead, I was met with attitude and blame.
When I asked for her name, she refused to give it to me. Additionally, I was not given a receipt, which I find unacceptable, especially after making a purchase. My young son, who was in the car, was visibly upset and frightened by the confrontation.
Because of this experience, I will not be returning to this location. I hope this feedback can be used as an opportunity to improve customer service training. No one should be made to feel at fault for a mistake they didn’t make, especially when trying to...
Read moreL'amore is a wonderful Italian restaurant on the corner of Lincoln & N 32nd St. I was treated to a mind boggling amount of food for a holiday event hosted by Kiss Me Kate. The service by Sal reminded me of a quintessential New Yorker. Quick with a funny line, excellent timing and dressed in black. (Black pants, but still. In New York we wear black.)
If you read no further, remember this: Cioppino.
Chee-oh-PEE-noh
The dish is not on the menu for some reason. If you gaze upwards to a chalkboard you might notice it. Come hungry, or come with a date, but everyone should order this.
Chee-oh-PEE-noh.
A seafood stew, complete with scallops, calamari, shrimp, clams, mussels and a white fish. (The white fish varies on a nightly basis.) My palate was delighted to order it Fra Diavalo. (I heard Fra Diablo, but that was close enough. Hot. Spicy hot.) This entire medley is served on a bed of linguine.
L'Amore has been owned and operated for 13 years by Kim and Greg. Greg was beyond attentive to our table. If you look around the restaurant their passion for riding horses is evident.
The lighting is subdued but yet the mood is festive. This is where you bring friends and family. Any guest will be impressed. Live music is played on the bar side which filters over softly to the dining area. Sal, our friend, was able to balance a large party with infinite ease. When the Cinderella hour rang we left...
Read moreWent here tonight, not realizing it was free cone day. Originally wanted a couple of cones, a blizzard and a couple of sundaes. Because it was free small cone day, they were only allowing customers to order vanilla for any small sizes. We didn't want anything larger than small so asked for small vanilla cones with chocolate dip. Then they told us they don't have chocolate dip either. So we decided to order just one small vanilla cone & the other items. Their small sundaes are 2 for $5, however I noticed they charged full price, which was over $7. When I pointed it out there was some attitude (like I was the one trying to take something from them) and they tried to refund me $1. Cashier explained this is what the manager told her to do. The small cone was smaller than the kiddie cones. I thought they gave me the wrong cone & it was explained that due to the free cone offer, they were told to make them smaller. Why even offer free small cones when you aren't actually giving what is advertised. Anyhow, seems like they were overcharging items & giving smaller portions to make up for their free cone day. I would rather pay for it I'd these are the trade offs. I'm sure this promo is to get people in buying their products more often. This backfired in my opinion. After this experience, I won't...
