In-N-Out Burger — Restaurant in Phoenix

We love In-n-Out in general, but this one location, the one closest to us, has a chronic problem.

When we order their vegetarian sandwich option, a Grilled Cheese, off their not-so-secret-menu, nine out of ten times at this location, it comes with various amounts of hamburger grilled into it. This doesn't happen at other locations, just this one.

The consequence is, we've had to forgo our local In-n-Out and utilize other local restaurants for months at a time. We do, however, occasionally visit other In-n-out locations when traveling or in other parts of town and have NEVER encountered this problem. Only at this one location.

After a many months hiatus, we gave them another try for lunch today. One sandwich had beef crumbs across one edge that were easily removed, the other one, pictured, had sizable chunks of beef cooked throughout it.

We've previously had discussions with corporate about this issue many times. And although they understand why this would make the sandwich unappetizing and be evidence of cross-contamination, they apparently can only take our report and send it to the local restaurant's management. Nothing gets resolved, this location continues to serve the Grill Cheese in this contaminated fashion.

We have to assume then, that serving this sandwich in this contaminated condition is condoned by the store's management. I then worry about what other contamination they might...

Im adding 3 stars due to the environment I felt the day I entered this specific In N Out. I was greeted by Allison who was GREAT by the way! I think she was a couple days new but I think she did great, my partner & I were enjoying our meal as well as everyone that had been around us when all of a sudden we heard this brunette haired lady being super rude & loud to Allison & another gentleman telling them they were "stressing her out" & to "walk with a purpose" loud enough so that our heads could turn & we felt really bad because this lady wasnt doing much & would walk back to talk to her coworkers but the second anyone else spoke to someone they would get in trouble. Allison was still following what this lady was asking her to do such as wiping down counters, cleaning a bathroom etc with no issue. I think this In N Out has amazing potential, the employees despite this were great & super courteous & patient with everyone we saw who walked in, but please dont raise your voice at an employee in front of customers if you're taking their job & not yours...

This is one great hamburger joint, though I dont eat meat I love their grilled cheese which is their veggie cheeseburger.... It is the bomb of meatless hamburgers I have ever tasted. And when you add grilled onions it makes it that much more tastier. I'm serious it's like your eating a actual hamburger. Then the animal fries are another one of my favs and of course I have them put extra grilled onions and extra cheese just to add a little boost to the taste. The only thing is if you dont eat the fries right away they lose their taste and especially if you try to reheat the next day, dont bother cause they are rubbery and have no taste. So I give them a high-five and have red been for years. The food is made fresh you can watch them from inside or even if you go thrpugh the drive thru. Staff is always happy and helpful. Their menue is very simple and the price is awesome... So if uou haven't experienced them yet I recommend them and even if you like meat try their grilled cheese I guarantee you...
