After moving away from New Mexico, I've been on a constant quest to find a place that can truly satisfy my cravings for authentic green chili. Green Chili Love not only hit the mark—it brought me back home.

The atmosphere here is open, welcoming, and has a cozy, homey charm that instantly puts you at ease. Whether you're dining solo, with kids, or meeting up with friends, it feels like the kind of place where you're treated like family.

We ordered the kids' bean, cheese, and rase burritos (a hit with the little ones), the vegetarian burrito with extra hot green chili, and a chicken taco salad. The food was solid all around—fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully made. As a vegetarian, it was a relief and delight to find out their beans are lard-free, and the option to add chopped fresh roasted green chili was a real bonus.

The highlight of the meal? When I mentioned to the owner that the chili wasn’t quite as spicy as I expected, he came back with a sample of “Dave’s Spiciest Green Chili”—and let me tell you, it did not disappoint. It packed the heat and flavor I’ve been chasing since leaving the Southwest.

What makes this place even more special is its story—they started out as a food truck (which they still run) and just opened this brick-and-mortar location five months ago. It’s clear they’ve poured their heart into it.

Kayla was very helpful and friendly. I went with the small green chile breakfast burrito. Delicious breakfast. She told me they just opened the restaurant two weeks ago, after years of having a food truck. This location is not far from me, and I am so glad I found it. I ordered hot. I love really spicy food. I found it flavorful but not overwhelming hot. The owner Dave came and checked with me, when I told him it wasn't super hot, he brought me extra spicy to add to the remainder. I felt that heat. The mix with eggs and potatoes and nice tender pork was perfect! I am not a big eater, so the small burrito was still more than enough. Be careful if you come try it, you might get addicted. Went on 3/8 for lunch with my daughter. Waited over 30 minutes for our food, and my daughter had to return to work before the food even came out, so she didn't get to eat it hot. I ordered Not Street Tacos on corn tortillas w/ no onion. It was supposed to come w/ rice and beans. After the long wait, my order was completely wrong. Flour tortillas instead of corn, onions that weren't supposed to be on them, and no rice or beans. There was no customer service IQ on the part of the employee who brought the food out that there had been a really long wait, even after I mentioned that my daughter had to leave, and no apology, or thank-you for the patience...Since I had to take the food to my daughter's work to eat later, I didn't even open to see my order was wrong until after I'd left.... Other customers were waiting as long or longer and were equally frustrated. We want to support this business, but if we decide to try it again, it'll be once they've had some time to figure it all out... There are too many other really good places that have service and efficiency down better than spending our money waiting to get the wrong order and have to eat it cold...
