I did Not have a good experience. I went to this location as it is in my old neighborhood. The other location was not close to where I was going. I pulled up to the side of the building and tried to enter the restaurant, but the doors were locked at 2--2:30 in the afternoon. 🤷🏼♀️ So I decided to try the drive-thru. I sat by the speaker box for several minutes and heard nothing. So I said hello and someone answered and said to give her a moment. I then placed my order for (2) #2's.....2 piece white meat meals.....1. Original recipe, the other Extra Crispy, mac & cheese for the side in each, and a large side of coleslaw and my choice of drinks. $24.73 total. (She didn't give me a receipt) She did say they were short staffed when I mentioned about the lobby doors being locked. I told her that I understood and that it was ok.
When I got home, I opened my box that was supposed to be Extra Crispy, and what I saw looked like original recipe that was cooked the day before(it was very dark), and it was too hard to even chew....both the wing and breast piece were so overcooked and not edible. And they were definitely Not extra cripsy. Just extra dried out. The chicken pieces in the other box was original recipe, and it was under cooked...the coating was mushy. I called the store and the phone just rang, so I didn't get to speak to anyone.
I got called in to work at my job that day, on my day off, and I was trying to get something to eat before I went in, but since it wasn't edible, all I ate was the mac and cheese. (The other meal I ordered was for someone else) Since I couldn't reach anyone by phone, I drove back to the store. I observed that the doors were still locked and there was at least 5 or 6 cars in front of me. So, I waited. I finally got to the order speaker and I told the young man what happened after at least 20 minutes in line. And he agreed to replace my chicken, which he did, but they only had original recipe....so I never did get my Extra Crispy that I was craving, and I had to wait until about 11 pm that night to finally eat, because my job was busy and short staffed as well. So, Again, not a good visit, but the young man did try to make it good when I went back. I definitely understand about the under-staffed issue, but no one should be served food that is not edible. I would have waited for Fresh chicken or ordered a different option. The first pic below is the dark, dried out pieces, the other pic is the...
Read moreOrdered a 3piece chicken strip meal with lemonade in the drive thru. I then asked for a diet drink and cashier with the very long dark hair stated" oh i dont think we carry diet or sugar free drink"! I was then asked to park in parking lot and wait for my food. After waiting 5 minutes, i entered the KFC at 7634 W Indian School Rd Phoenix AZ 85033, and i walked to the counter and began drinking my drink. At this point i realized i had plain water in my cup. So i informed a cook if i can get something else. I walked over to the drink station and clearly there was Diet Pepsi at the drink station, so i made a diet pepsi. I waited an additional 15 minutes for my chicken strips. While waiting , i videotaped the cooks, and the cashier handling food without gloves on. The cashier never washed her hands before assisting the cooks. She saw my phone out and grabbed one glove and put it on her right hand only. All this while while taking cash and cards at the drive thru window. It was busy, evident by cars parked in parking lot. it was 5 cars parked to be exact waiting for food orders. People entered the restaurant such as Uber Eats drivers and didnt know if orders on the counter was theirs or not. Total chaos!! The cashier was assisting the cook and i felt she should have attended the counter and handed out orders and attended the drive thru window. One man walked in and grabbed a large bagged order off the counter and left. No receipt was visible on the bag. Was it his order?? Who knows? My main concern is my food was cooked and they did use tongs but i saw one of the cooks touch her face a few times and proceed to remove chicken from a warmer. The cashier has no business assisting in food prep without washing her hands first. The store tables appeared clean but floor dirty. the cook station not wiped down. The Staff presented to be nice but very unorganized and everyone running around. The cashier needs to learn what drinks are available at KFC to work the register. This will help her to UPSELL if a drink is not ordered at the drive thru. My chicken was good. The pieces appeared small. I ordered the 3pc chicken strip meal with coleslaw. The price $8.99...
Read moreLiterally, the worst food I have ever had at any fast-food restaurant. First, only the drive-thru was open, not a big deal. Second, the "kid" taking my card from me had the look like I ruined his life by ordering there. I ordered a 4-piece tenders meal, with Mac & Cheese. They handed the food to me and as I started to drive away, I thought I should check to make sure my order was correct. First thing I notice is they gave me fries and not my Mac & cheese. Second thing I noticed was that those fries were burnt to a semi-black crisp. Third thing I noticed was the biscuit was dark brown and hard as a brick (dried the heck out). Last thing I noticed was the strips were burnt up too. It looked like the biscuit was sitting under a heat lamp for hours. The tenders looked like it had been sitting for a while then tossed in the fryer to reheat, then sat, then fryer to reheat, then sat, then fryer, then given to me. Needless to say, there was no way I was going to eat that dried out mess. I had to go back to the drive-thru to get my refund as the doors were locked to get inside. The young lady that assisted me didn't question my intent, went to work and started my refund (with cash). She let me keep the drink, cool. But I really appreciate her helping me the way she did as I thought I was going to have a problem getting my money back, not the case (she gave me cash though, as I would have preferred it back on my card). Anyway, it was about 1:30pm on a Sunday when I ordered my food, maybe it was just bad timing... I thought the KFC on Indian School and Dysart was bad, boy was I wrong. I guess you just need to stick to Popeyes for fried chicken, when you're...
