KING GYROS — Restaurant in Phoenix

Came for lunch today to have a gyros 🥙 They were referred to me by my investment advisor at my Credit Union. So I came here hungry and interested to see how good their gyros are… they’re King Gyros. I ordered their gyros combo that comes with french fries and a fountain drink. During my order I asked questions about what is used. I didn’t like the fact that they use red onions in a mix with white onions. Everything else is fine: tomatoes, tzatziki sauce… As my meal was brought to my table it looked good. The fries were alright; having a little crisp to them. I noticed a big piece of red onion that I picked out. I do not like red onions as they have a strong bite to them. They kill the palate, or taste. The other onions were fine; along with the tomatoes. The sauce however has a lot to be improved upon. I didn’t taste any cucumber, or garlic. The seasoning was overpowering. Too much dill. A little goes a long way. The atmosphere was alright. Clean, but a bit cramped. Especially going to the back to use the restrooms. There’s a massive cooler that encroaches on the corridor. And in the men’s room there are cabinets and shelf for storage; along with a ladder, and other things. Would I return for lunch again? Not anytime soon. I’ve had better gyros. I doubt my ever coming back. Try them for yourself, and decide if their gyros is to...

I've been meaning to review this restaurant for a while because i believe in sharing when it comes to food. Seriously if you live in the neighborhood and have not tried their food you're missing out. There are a ton of food options to choose from in North Phoenix but since trying them the 1st time, this is now my go to spot for delicious, consistently quality food when I eat out. Let's start with the salads, no wilted lettuce or rotten looking tomatoes, they are fresh FRESH and amazing. Feta and lettuce and olives oh my! 😆 Meats are cooked to PERFECTION! Shish kabob, chicken and gyros you won't be disappointed any way you go. If you don't eat meat do yourself a favor and try the falafel and the sautéed veggies. I usually ask for extra veggies they are that good. Customer service is always friendly and informative. I keep neglecting to ask the lady at the counter her name but she is always pleasant and informative and I appreciate it. I almost forgot to mention their prices will beat any fast food chain around and you will be much happier with the quality...

Disregard this place at your own culinary peril! It's a small strip center location with just about enough seating for a lunch rush. I've been going to this restaurant for years and think they have some of the best Greek food in the entire Valley. Especially their gyro. I have not had one better anywhere. The meat is always moist and delicious and you get tons of it whether you order the gyro sandwich, salad or plate. The pitas are soft and fluffy. The tzatziki is so flavorful you'll find yourself asking for extra just to make sure every bite is coated in it. It's a family-owned business that's makes you feel like family when you dine there. I always see lots of Greek people eating at this restaurant which is always a good sign! I took my 20 month old granddaughter to eat there twice in the last couple weeks and she demolished the gyro meat and all but ignored her fries, which are good too, so you know it's got...
