Called to ask if I can place an order for a custom cake. She told me yes, she sent me a text confirming my cake details and contact info, then she GHOSTED me when I sent her a reference picture (which I had already described and she said she could do it and had done a cake like that before). I followed up the next day asking if she would still be able to do the cake and my imessage was left on read. It would have been fine if she had just told me she couldnât do the cake in time or couldnât do the design, but it was just so unprofessional to say she could do it and then just not respond to me again. Wouldnât trust to place an order with this bakery anymore, confirmation or not.
Edit in response to ownerâs response: She says she replied to me but the screenshot she sent me clearly shows her messages didnât go through. She knows i did not get a reply and didnât bother to call and clarify. She did not want my business and that is ok. Also, from my text, you can see I said âsomething simpleâ, I did not change it up or ask her to add on anything she said she couldnât do. She said she could do the tire. In fact i asked her to not include the cars decoration or anything ask we had toy cars and a number candle we could add at home. the only thing i asked that was different was if it was possible to add a smaller top tier, and âif not, one tier is okayâ. The screenshots are clear. she still decided to ghost me essentially, knowing i didnât get her response. she couldnât add her screenshot so i added it for her in this edit. she shows her professionalism in her review responses. also, every bakery takes cake orders over the phone and will communicate with you about inspiration pictures until they know what you want and what they can do. yes cakes are important, thatâs why i expected at least a response telling me if the order was going to...
Read moreI purchased the spring fling cake. The cake was was recommended by friends. I messaged the shop inquiring about prices. They let me know the cake ranged from $30-$73 depending on the servings. The day I went to the shop I asked if they had the spring fling because I didnât see it displayed. She said this is the one we add the fruit when itâs ordered. It looked small so I said Iâll take it. My mistake was not asking what the serving size and price was. I assumed it was the smaller one which I take accountability for. I do wish she wouldâve offered me the different cake sizes and prices it was pretty fast paced she said this is the spring fling and that was that. Once the fruit had been added and I went to pay I was shocked. My total was over $80. My tap to pay wasnât working but and they didnât have the slide option. So luckily I had cash and only then they informed me oh thatâs good youâll save the credit card fee. If my tap to pay had worked o would been out a hefty card fee without even knowing! Personally I felt like the price was not worth it. Thatâs just me, everyone should decide for themselves. I just wish they were more transparent with posting their pricing with cake size reference as well as their added credit card fees. I will definitely learn from my mistake and ask...
