La Pupusa Loca Restaurant — Restaurant in Phoenix

They used to have a loyal customer in me, but as time has gone on, I dislike the way the run their business. We’ve ate at this restaurant and every time we walk in we always see the ladies just sitting watching tv, we seat ourselves and then they still take a few minutes to come and acknowledge us. When we’ve ordered pick up around 6:30/7pm they tell us they’re about to close, which is weird since their hours are listed to open til 10pm. Last time we were here we jokingly told the guy that their hours are always changing and he said “yea, it all depends how slow we are”. So how are people supposed to know when you’re open or not? Their food was good, but when we’ve ordered take out we notice that it’s not well portioned. We’ll order cheese and beans and it’s mostly beans or mostly cheese, like they just made our food with whatever they had left over for the day…now they’ve lost us...

I only came here because the original (Honduran) place I was going to closed early and someone told me this place offered some Honduran foods, which I should have known as soon as I walked in that it was a bad idea. It took way too long to get our order taken and just as long to get our food. There were only 3 other tables occupied other than ours. Found out later that one of the tables was actually an employee just hanging out with friends or relatives. There was another employee sitting at the back table just chit chatting. I specifically wanted "pollo con tajadas and baleadas," common Honduran plates. I love these dishes, but not from here. Disgusting! is all I have to say. Maybe it was my mistake for having ordered this in a Salvadoran restaurant. But that doesn't take away from the fact that service was terrible and the place just...

The inside looks more like a sports bar. I ordered and the wait time to receive my food was around 30 minutes. I went here to try the plato loco, had high expectations based on the reviews of this place, to start the prices are not accurate, took time for my food to be out and the food order was not the same as described on the menu. When I get home I see everything is there except tortillas, fried beans and only 2 chorizos instead of 4 and a lot of small pieces of meat which that wasn't on the description on the menu. Everything was too greasy and almost burnt, the only thing that was okay were the pupusas. Not worth my 20 minute drive there. As I mentioned on the prices, they're not accurate, so I paid according to the receipt for $28, days after I find out they actually charged me...
