We were in the area looking for a good buffet for Chinese. Stopped here, but the info was incorrect, and it was not a buffet restaurant. I saw 4.5 stars, so we decided to give it a try since it was already getting late.
Party of four. Ordered orange chicken, sweet 'n sour chicken, and sweet 'n sour pork dinner combos along with crab puffs and Wor Wonton soup. The combos came with egg drop soup, fried rice, fried won tons, and an egg roll. The pork entree contained no onion, bell pepper or pineapple nor did the chicken. It was only served with the sauce. The soup was good. The fried rice seemed like it was just white rice with a wee bit of soy sauce, and a piece of an egg, here 'n there. The egg roll was mostly cabbage, and plain. I've been to quite a few Chinese restos, as well as in L.A. in China Town. Not sure about all the ranting and raving, and the 4.5 stars, but I would not come here again. It was just 'okay,' and nothing spectacular. Service was okay, but they were not very attentive, and never brought our chopsticks nor hot mustard and...
Read moreWould have given zero if it was a option. Absolute WORSE meal I've ever had. Literally took two bites and threw it away. They don't use a proper batter to batter their fried items. It was disgusting, every chinese place I know of uses corn starch to batter while this place used a horrible flour batter which resulted in mushy, wet, unappetizing coating on the chicken. The worse thing was the sauce though and was actually super disappointing that someone would have that little care in what they do and give to their paying customers. What they served as general tso's sauce was ketchup, hienz chili sauce and pineapple juice. Absolutely disgusting. Myself being a chef was extremely disappointed and couldn't believe that they would even consider serving that to people. So that meal completely convinced me that they take absolutely zero pride in what they do and have zero respect for their customers. I will not be returning and will just continue to order from the place I've found just a few block further and...
Read moreI originally tried this place with my family. I had the duck dish, my niece had the sesame chicken, and my sister had the fried rice. I did the uncle thing and tried my niece's sesame chicken that day, and it was delicious. Fast-forward to today: I ordered a sesame chicken plate and upgraded to the fried rice. I also ordered a side of lo mein and potstickers.
Everything was hot when I received it, but the issue was that the rice was not fried rice. It was just white rice drizzled with some soy sauce; it was more white than brown. The potsticker meat was good; I did enjoy the filling, but the outside was mushy and TOO THICK. The Sesame chicken was as I remembered it. As to address the no refills if you dine in they did the last time I went in, the ladies that helped me then were polite as well. As for the homeless people outside, come on people yall know PD won't come in a timely manner to kick them out. This isn't Scottsdale, it's...
