Roma Cucina had great reviews; and getting here is a story within itself. We grabbed an Uber to go to another Itialian restaurant after letting the Uber go we found that place was closed for a private party. LOL new lesson learned... call before going Uber style! So we called another Uber to here. I was excited to see they had meat ravioli! My wife ordered spaghetti and meatballs. Excitement quickly turned to trying to figure out how much salt and parmigiano it was going to take to bring the flavor out. First, the meat ravioli. It came as spaghetti in marinara, meat ravioli, and s cheese topping that was AMAZING. The cheese was the best tasting item on the plate. The ?meat? ravioli was a mystery. Chef Boy-r-dee does a better meat ravioli. This filling (I took a picture) was a bland mush that had no depth to it. It was the same consistency as a cheese ravioli, but gray. The spaghetti was cooked well the sauce was decent. The plate as a whole didn't have enough salt to bring out the natural flavoring of the ingredients. After piling parmigiano and salt on the dish, it was palatable. I would not recommend ĀæmeatĀæ ravioli. My wife's spaghetti and meatballs was much of the same. Not horrible, simply bland. If you took a bite of the meatball and spaghetti together, you wouldn't be able to distinguish the two by flavor, texture yes, flavor no. I tasted the meatball. Again bland, but wait, the meatball had an excellent texture. It wasn't too mushy or too stiff. It had the perfect texture and was cooked perfectly. The breadsticks were received before the meal were covered on parmigiano cheese and tasted like pizza breadsticks. They were good. Overall, good food, although it was seriously under seasoned. It's a decent little spot to eat; but lower your expectations a little; and know to use a salt shaker unless you...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreTHE ABSOLUTE BEST AUTHENTIC ITALIAN FOOD IN THE STATE OF ARIZONA! I've been to Italy and I've been to New York. This place is ITALY all over again. The food is NOT salty, the pasta is cooked so perfectly that when my rack of lamb arrived it was still steaming and pasta was still al dente cooking in the Marsala sauce, steaming from Uber eats. The breadsticks and marinara that come with every entree are to die for. I got the tortellini, rack of lamb, and eggplant fettuccine.
The Buffalo mozzarella is delicious! The eggplant was crunchy yet soft and super flavorful. The Alfredo sauce does NOT have garlic which means it's a true Italian Alfredo sauce. It was creamy, buttery, and cheesy, divine! The rack of lamb was perfectly cooked and melted in my mouth. It was cooked medium just like I like it. The salads are also yummy and have lots of toppings such as green pepper, red onion, tomato, and mushrooms. Their creamy Italian is sweet and exactly what I wanted. PLEASE DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND COME TO ROMA CUCINA. This is an AUTHENTIC, GENUINE 100% Italian joint. Coming from this Sicilian, 5/5 stars. This place will have tons of awards soon. This is the only place I will eat for Italian from now on. I can't believe I was blessed to go back to Italy, to back when I visited Europe just tasting this food.
Thank you roma cucina for this experience. š„°š„°š„° and to EVERYONE ELSE. COME COME COME if you want a TRUE taste and experience of š®š¹ Italy! VERY reasonable prices for the portions and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe moment we walk in there weāre babies crying and making a fuzz. That family were friends with staff that made a bit awkward to the rest of the diners. TV was loud playing ninja turtles⦠I guess. The appetizer were off. The bruschetta was LOADED with huge chunks of garlic! Soggy bread old tomato. The calamari was over cooked. Hard and crunchy with a burnt taste. No seasoning either. My marinara dipping sauce had a large piece of carrot inside the container, I hope it wasnāt marinara recycled from a previous customer. The bread and marinara sauce was nothing to write home about. Stale pressed bread with subpar sauce. The entrees.. I ordered the spaghetti with meatballs. I got 2 meatballs that were smaller than a golf ball. The meatballs were still frozen in the middle. Obviously store bought. Got the taste of chef boyardee. The marinara sauce was definitely canned and watery. The chicken fettuccine Alfredo was decent. Chicken was cooked perfectly and seasoned well.
The service. The young gentleman who served us was very attentive and helpful. Checked on us a few times and made sure our drinks were always topped off.
Iāll chocked this up to a bad night and try again later. They do have 4.9 stars and hope that they just hit a...
