First off, I don't like fast-food restaurants whatsoever, but with this place having internet and being close to a co-partner in business of mine, it has an ideal choice to meet as of late.
Here is where the problem beings: I had been going to this McDonald's for the last two months to meet with my graphic designer. As with other establishments (Starbucks, Dunkin' Donuts', etc.) people come in at different times and wait for their friends/co-workers/etc. Obviously some get there early and some arrive late. My co-worker arrived early. He hadn't been there less than five minutes (I know because we texted one-another 10 minutes prior of the place to meet that day). I found him waiting outside, rightfully upset. He said he didn't want to eat/discuss business here because the manager walked up to him and stated he was loitering. He INFORMED her that he was waiting for his business-partner (me), and she gave him a hard time, so he waited outside until I got there.
I told him we are going back in there and having lunch and speaking with the manager. We ordered our lunch and I asked to speak with the manager - this person who thought my partner was loitering was the manager - I told her we have been coming in there consistently for the last couple of weeks and one of us waits for the other. She said they have a loitering problem. I informed her he told her he wasn't loitering and she made him uncomfortable so he finally left.
I would understand if my partner was there for over 20 minutes (and even then, asking that person if they are waiting for someone vs. outright accusing them of loitering is awesome customer service without being conrolling), but 5 minutes?!
Either way, we are not coming back here. I would have given two stars because I did occasionally talk with some of the staff there, but it takes that one person...
As a side-note, I never saw an issue with loiterers there while I ate there. I really don't know why my partner was pointed out for just waiting and why the manager insisted he wasn't.
The SAD part was: we never even got an apology for her assumption and it being proved incorrect. My partner told the truth while waiting for five minutes, I informed her that he was not loitering (while purchasing lunch) and still, no apology - I work high-stress job(s) and I still manage to treat...
Read moreSecond review Giving this location another shot and definitely will not be coming back. Again I live directly across the street and I can't help but crave mc d's ever so often, but I feel bad constantly making my boyfriend be the one to go and order after my stance on not coming back. Being in a hetero relationship, I find it appalling ordering with a hot pink swimsuit and clear female (sometimes shrill) voice, come to the pick up window only to be told "here is your order SIR" Lesson learned here: give something a second chance you have a 50% chance of being redeemed and 100% chance being dissatisfied and disrespected.
Will now be going out of my way to the next closest McDonald's even though i live right across the street from this location due to my last experience...after waiting 10 minutes in line of the drive thru (which is not the problem) the truck in front of me (who was about to order) was cut off by some young punk (which in turn is cutting me and the other 6 people behind me off). The truck owner understandably got out and became heated with the incompetent and arrogant driver whos best excuse was that "he comes here all the time"........ I somehow ended up being cut off by the driver which is when i decided to go inside to let the staff know what was happening outside and that the car behind the truck should not be served. The truck oer pulled up to window, saw me and told the manager i too was cut off by the driver and rightfully also said the car behind him should not be served. The truck owner leaves and hopefully had a better day. So then the car pulls up to the window, the manager talks to them for about a minute leading me to think justice was served...or not served in this case. BUT INSTEAD, turned around, made an ice cream cone and gave it to the driver. Management here would rather accept money from disrespectful kids then take the loss by doing the right thing and that is why i wll never return to...
