Salad and Go — Restaurant in Phoenix

This location is alright overall, the service is usually fast and I hardly have to wait to receive my food. That being said they may want to slow down a little as the last few times I've stopped here the wraps are always loose and come apart like a wet paper towel. The quality of the produce they use is always great but, when I order a wrap I don't want it to turn into a salad on top of a tortilla..

In particular the BBQ wrap I ordered came smothered in the dressing to the point where the outside was covered. The wrap was soggy and was almost inedible, if it wasn't for the fact that I didn't have time to drive back I would've asked for a refund. I asked for the dressing on the side but was told that was not an option with this particular item. Made no sense considering when I order a Thai wrap the dressing always comes on the side. 🤷

Not sure who designed the drive thru but I drive a Toyota Camry and I can't imagine navigating a larger vehicle out of there without damaging the car. There should have been more of a gradual turn to make it easier for trucks and suburbans to go through. If you have a larger vehicle I would suggest getting out and walking up...

Overall, hard to go wrong at this Salad & Go location! Food always seems fresh, team members are always friendly and helpful, and the line moves pretty fast.

Some details for those who seek it…

Between the salads and wraps, I always think the salad is better. I’ve tried most of the salads as both and the wraps are good but I feel like I just get pockets of the salad at a time. It never seems to mix well in the wrap. That said, their Thai Chicken salad as a wrap is my favorite wrap.

The Frozen Strawberry Lemonade is my favorite beverage here. Hands down. I’m just not a cucumber mint fan though so I’m biased.

I’ve only tried breakfast a few times but their breakfast burrito is still pretty good. No complaints or recommendations.

If you are looking to avoid the lunch rush, try to go before 12pm or after 12:45pm. Anything between that seems to be brutal no matter the day. As I mentioned above, they are good at moving the line fast but it’s just tough when that many people all visit at the same time.

Unfortunately, the “chipotle” effect has hit salad and go, at least this location. What once was a decent quality salad for cheap has turned into a low quality meal, with less amounts of protein, and of course an increase in price.

I knew it’d just be a matter of time until they got greedy and tanked the quality. I ordered double chicken on a Caesar salad, and it’s less chicken than a single serving was just a year or two ago. As that’s not already bad, the chicken they’ve switched to is nearly inedible. It has a gray look, and is slightly transparent. It’s chewier than a piece of gum, and has no flavor.

Their breakfast is still good, but it’s just a matter of time until they start cutting quality on that as well, while simultaneously increasing prices.

As someone that literally went here every day for lunch, and still do for breakfast, im extremely disappointed but not surprised by any means. Corporate greed...
