I really like this place but my last few times of coming have not been the best. This particular time, provoked me to write a review. The time before this I waited for almost 30 minutes before they realized my food had been made well before 30 minutes. Every single time I come I tip because I used to be a waitress and so I would never not tip. I ordered the SHRD salad and I asked to add red onion and bell pepper.
Thank God I didn’t leave for my lunch break because I may not have been able to come back in. After 3/4 bites of my salad I kept thinking something was missing. So I looked in the menu and realized it was missing peas and cherry tomato. I went in to let the lady know what was missing. She took my salad opened it up to check if what I was saying was true. She then told me the red bell pepper was the cherry tomatoes even though there were no tiny seeds from the tomatoes anywhere. As if I would want to lie about something like that. That kind of grossed me out because she began talking over my open salad with another co worker.
Then the other lady asked me if I wanted it remade or just to add the missing ingredients. I said well since you asked then I’d like it to be remade because they were literally talking over my open food. She then told me that I ate half the chicken and so they’d only remake part of it. So then I said I’d rather have a refund and she said ok and then stopped and said she’d rather remake it. Which I had no problem with since this my only lunch break before the rest of a long day.
My question is why would I ever tip if I’ll be scrutinized or made to feel ashamed or told that there are things there in my salad that are clearly not?
Those two cashier ladies have totally embarrassed me and I just wanted Protein house to know what happened to me today while trying to patronize the establishment. Not only do I eat here but I send my clients here as well. And today should have not been this difficult to enjoy a healthy lunch. I’m totally...
Read moreProbably one of my favorite meal prep/clean eating places in the valley. A lot of other places have set dishes that you can't really have variations on. Not only does protein house have an extensive menu of acai bowls, protein shakes, protein pancakes, wraps, burgers, bowls etc, but you can pick a pre-made one off the menu, or you can create your own from scratch or even change up anything off the preset menu because it's all made to order. They have every carb option imaginable including quinoa and also have cauliflower rice if you're looking to be more carb free. Tons of protein options as well including tofu, bison, steak, etc. Everything you can order online if you do meal prep pick up.
Pictured in my review is a custom bowl of seared salmon (still red/raw in the middle) tofu, quinoa with asparagus, red pepper, carrots, and spinach, and then the sweet siracha and teriyaki sauce together. It's super good.
My only critique, which they've recently fixed is they usually put so little of the sauce on everything that stuff tastes bland at times and you have to order an additional side of the sauce, especially the wraps. Mine recently came with both on the side which is more than what's usually on there when you receive it, so it's been an improvement and I don't have to go up and ask for more.
Single made to order meals can get pricey, but when you are batch ordering meal preps they have a decent batch rate depending on how...
Read moreI’m a long standing customer of ProteinHouse (staring at the Mayo location back in 2019). I’ve always loved the option of delicious healthy food on the go! I moved to Arcadia area in 2022 and the Indian school location seems to be struggling significantly with service and employees. There is a huge turnover of employees here - as someone who visits frequently I make it a point to meet and introduce myself to member of the staff. Unfortunately I don’t see the same employees stay for very long. The employees at this location currently are extremely rude and have a very bad attitude.
Today 6/3/2024 I waited at the counter to get acknowledged for over 4 mins - they both saw me and just kept laughing and talking amongst themselves. I was patient and then ordered my meal. The young man who took my order didn’t say a single word to me. He didn’t even ask if my order was for here or to go. I was eating there and he told kitchen to pack it to go. I then saw the counter employee stared at my order for 4 mins before I just went up and asked if that was my order. I told her I didn’t want it packed to go, and I hate to waste the plastic containers and if there was a way I could get actual bowls and forks so I can eat here Cynthia the counter employee I’m referring to rolled her eyes at me and slammed the bowls down on the counter. Not a great vibe and definitely hope you can get your employees to be a little more cheerful...
