I ordered a large deep dish pizza w pepperoni, sausage and mushrooms. The online order said it would be done at 530 pm Arriving 5 minutes early I was told they couldn't find the order. I later learned the crew of three w no customers in store hadn't put it in the oven because they forgot. I was only told this but learned by listening.i was told it would be ten minutes so I said okay. After a few more minutes I observed and watched the employees talk to each other saying , " I never put it in.'I spoke up and said what do you mean you never put it in ? The mgr told me they were busy and forgot and was making it now .I watched as a kid was sweeping the floor stop and took over preparing my pizza that a girl was working on. I mentioned this to the mgr because I never saw him wash his hands..The mgr never once confirmed with me what my order "was". I stood there 33 minutes more waiting for my pizza! I have a broken back and broken ribs from a recent moving accident and was in pain. When the girl who started my pizza brought it to me , I was in total schock the size , the way it looked and the lack of the meats I ordered on it. I already paid for this pizza and expected a decent pizza made Sicilian style deep dish w my three favorite ingredients on it. Several other people who had to wait a long time after ordering was visibly upset too. The restaurant was barren and there were only myself and two other customers picking up food. The mgr stating he was overwhelmed with no help and backed up with orders was not true. The oven had plenty of room for all three pizzas to be cooking at one time. I noticed the employees taking out a small deep dish personal pan pizza for them before starting anyone's order. They were eating In front of the customers at the register waiting acknowledgment for service and sweeping them touching food . I told the girl no this is not what I ordered nor wanted ! I paid 24.00 for this pizza and expected a decent sized with the correct toppings and style crust! I expected I also noticed the mgr took over when cutting time came and cut the pizza not into squares but into small tiny tic tac toe size !the size of a breathe mint. I have never seen a breathe mint size piece of pizza. I told the mgr I wasn't accepting this because it was totally wrong. He said it's my fault and I wasn't getting another or money back. I will be reporting this to the bank and corporate. I will never recommend anyone friends of family here not w. I did taste the pizza and you definitely can taste canned tomato paste.. I did not eat yesterday because of this problem. 4 slices of pizza is NOT worth $28.00 I can see why .the restaurant was barren of customers. No one was in the restaurant so making my food I ordered 30 minutes prior and was promised it would be done . I shouldn't be blamed for these for these employee of knowledge abou It food prep Cleanliness was an issue also the kitchen was visible from the counter and it was not clean..My husband was mad I had to wait for our pizza and even madder it wasn't we wanted or ordered. He asked why I didn't tell the mgr I told I did to my surprise thx mgr was a total jackass and ride. Stating you have to take it! Why it wasn't made right? Why they were so ride and unprofessional? Not sure but it was my first and LAST time I'll ever go there I'll never recommend this company to anyone. Unprofessional, uncourteous and totally rude! Stay away of you want a real pizza done correctly, and not butchered. Also if you don't want to get ripped off. 7.00 a slice for tiny tic tac size bites is utterly ridiculous! The mgr was Hispanic and argued with me Sicilian styled pizzas . I told him don't try to make me look stupid I know what a deep dish pizza isy ex inlaws owned 6 Italian restaurants here and would never make a pizza that looked like that , butcher it , lie about putting it in,make me wait another 33 minutes, touch food w unclean hands and argue with a customer and forcefully state you are going to take this! This man knows nothing about common courtesy to...
Read moreDO NOT EAT HERE! I am from Chicago & I always eat at Rosati’s but after this experience I will never be eating here again.
IF I COULD PUT 0 STARS I WOULD!
Friday December 22, 2023- FIRST off, the customer service was absolutely AWFUL. The employee ANDREW made me feel extremely rushed, he did not make me feel like he was properly listening to my order which is why my order was wrong, and he hung up the phone in my face multiple times. I couldn’t even get my full address out because he just kept cutting me off while I was speaking. He seemed extremely overwhelmed, rushed, and rude.
My family & I do not eat meat. We ordered a large deep dish pizza with mushrooms & spinach. I was informed that this location was out of spinach so I said okay just add extra mushrooms, tomato sauce, & cheese. And I also ordered a Cesar salad. The order already took over an hour & a half to get to me, which I was not complaining about because it was a Friday night & I presumed they were obviously busy, so my family and I were already super hungry after returning from a Christmas outing earlier. Finally when the pizza does come, I notice the pizza presentation was VERY sloppy. I know I asked for extra sauce but the sauce was so watery and running out of control, it made the box pretty soggy by the time it got to my house. But again we were very hungry so I took a huge bite of my first slice anyways. While chewing… I realized the pizza had pepperoni all over it. I immediately spit it out and called the store back. The same RUDE guy who had previously taken my order answers, I tell him the order is wrong, and he proceeds to say I’ll give you a refund and hangs up right in my face AGAIN. I am livid at this time because again I am HUNGRY, the customer service here is absolutely awful, & this person keeps hanging up in my face rushing me off the phone. Also, how am I going to get my refund when I paid in cash to your delivery driver? I was so upset so my husband proceeded to call back and have a conversation with another employee who informed us unfortunately we would have to come back up to the store in order to get a refund for our order if we paid cash. I give the employee my name, phone # and everything and he also informs me he will have a manager contact me as soon as possible, but the manager has been out for a while and he does not know when they will be returning. GREAT… 🙃
Moving forward, I returned the the store to again try & get my refund back for the pizza because at this point I have been sick for the past few days from accidentally eating that pepperoni. Mind you I do not have a vehicle, hence the reason for the delivery option, so I catch a ride all the way up to the location just to be informed that I can not get my refund back at the store location, that I have to call corporate and that is the only way I can get a refund for my order. Now I am upset because where is all my information the previous employee “wrote down?” Where is the manager? Where is the sympathy, customer service, & kindness? The employee Andrew did not even attempt to look for the information, did not want to provide me with the corporate number, & basically kicked me and my husband out of the store. I am beyond upset & I will be continuing to reach out to upper management & corporate regarding this unpleasant experience. And I hope that this review helps to prevent anyone else from having to experience anything similar. We work too hard and things cost too much of our hard earned money for us consumers to be mistreated and disrespected. Rosati’s you have forever lost a customer & I will forever tell people not to eat...
Read moreI called to place an order last night. It was obvious that I was talking with a new staff member as he was not properly trained to be answering calls, but we were getting through the conversation. In the background he was being rudely criticized by a co-worker/supervisor for not knowing the answer to my question. Keep this in mind that I had already placed my food order (my question was about what pop they carried and was it 2L bottles or 16oz bottles) confirming my order twice before his coworker/supervisor got on the phone.
The coworker explained what they had in stock and place my order in its entirety with him, not once, not twice but three times, clearly articulating what I wanted and had him repeat it. Lets fast forward 1 hour later, the food shows up and it missing part of the order. I called the restaurant to tell them while the driver stood there.
What's truly rich about this, the arrogant coworker answered the phone and told me I never ordered the other item when it was confirmed with two different workers, he being the last person I spoke to an hour earlier. I ask him please redeliver the balance of my order and he tells me NO. My guess is because they use an outside firm for their deliveries and the cost was too much to absorb, opposed to making it right with the customer.
Here's the icing on the cake. I asked for a thin and crispy pizza, you'd think elementary understanding of what that means (keep in mind I asked a total of 4 times as the first staff member was struggling to make sure he got it right & the second arrogant staff member twice because he was doing more talking then listening), having the staff repeat it back to me.
Guess what showed up, an almost, someday, I'll grow up to be a thin, barely browned, borderline soggy pizza. Had I known this prior to having the driver departing, I would have rejected the pizza and canceled my cc transaction.
This is what absentee owners get when they hire a body to represent them, opposed to someone who will take pride in whatever they do in life.
The moral of the story, if you want a pizza that you'll enjoy, do not order from Rosati's Pizza at 602 W Union Hills. As someone from Chicago, I grew up on Rosati's Pizza, the product they put out today is a joke compared to the original Chicago based operations. It's truly ashamed that the original owners of Rosati's Pizza of Chicago turned their business into a franchise with little to no oversight.
I would strongly suggest that the owners hire shoppers to investigate every aspect of their business to ensure complete customer...
